We all have to agree on the mostly criticized Dom, when he is missing the team struggles. He is a best choice in the midfield along Grav and Maca. Jones is inconsistent and Harvey is just not enough. Dom gives a boost on the Team and along the attackers Gakpo left Diaz front and Salah on the right, this is the best starting line of the season.

The number of times LFC have been top at Xmas then failed to win the EPL, tells you that we run out of steam. Why? Because we do not have enough strength in depth. Djota was not bad at all. Better than Salah, Gakpo or Diaz. He barely lost a ball. He nutmegged the opponents, his run in the first half created a good chance wasted by Salah. Darwin was the best attacker tonight, then Jota, then Gakpo and Salah. In that order. Bradley was great defensively - could not put a foot wrong. VVD great as well. Quansay shakey, Ibou was a bit better but Solanke did a number on him for Spurs goal. Kelleher should be in the goal. He was sublime during Ali's injury. I don't know why we benched him right away.

The issue is not signings. Slot did not manage the team well in the last two games. Versus United, he should have subbed Trent after we took the lead. Keller should have started, Diaz should have started based on his last performance against Tottenham, and Elliott should be on the pitch.

A bit of a concern now seeing us off colour consecutively after the Man Utd draw. We need to give Chiesa a chance to come on and do something. If he is fit enough to be on the bench then he is fit enough to play. I don't see why Slot never plays him unless we are keeping him fit hoping to sell him this month. We did not deserve to win this match as for the goalscorer not being sent off for two fouls I think the ref got it right. Despite us performing poorly their goalie kept them in the match. On the bergval incident, the rules say, if the ref plays advantage for putting a stop to a counter attack, if the team keeps advantage and plays the attack to a natural end, it is no longer a yellow card as they continued a counter and therefore cannot give a yellow for stopping a counter attack as the counter was played. In this case the ref played advantage and liverpool ended the attack with a shot on target.

Grav, VVD, and Trent were the 3 best today. VVD is like a rolls Royce back there. Always makes good decisions, and makes key tackles. Grav was a stand out in the midfield. Controlling pace of play, forward passes, press proven. And when TAA came on, he completely changed the game. The incisive passes he was making (even if not all come off) pressure the defensive and look dangerous. His cross field passes stretch the game and leave the left side dangerous. He just needs to brush up on defense

Slot needs three key priority signings this january, the same signings we desperately needed in the summer that the owners and hughes did not bring in for the A Slot. All defensive positions: Priority one: A mobile tough tackling defensive midfielder enforcer: Ederson of Atlanta, J Gomes Of Wolves or M Zubimendi of R Sociedad should be signed for £40 to £60m. Priority 2: A fast mobile quick left footed left back : Kerkez of Bournemouth, Ait- Nouryi of Wolves or A Robinson of Fulham for £30 to £40m. As Robertson is our biggest liability in side at the moment and Tsimkas is not good enough to start game in game out. Priority three: A mobile fast left footed centre back: P Schurrs Of Torino, Balde Of Seville or Murillo Of Nottingham forest should be signed for £35 to £60m. In the summer the club can address the attacking positions to refresh.

I really hope he does call for signings and also hope that those calls don't fall on deaf ears! FSG have been nothing but let downs in most transfer windows, they show no ambition and cause managers to run the players into the ground. They did it to Jurgen and did nothing to help Arne in the summer, they must change their approach! It is nothing short of self-sabotage to not bring in additions this month. We are down to two fit CBs, one of which is just back from an injury and we have needed another midfielder for about 18 months now, cover for Gravenberch because he is being run into the ground. As a team, we played okay. It was a scrappy match from both sides, and I think the pitch had a lot to do with that, as some of the commentators pointed out. Honestly, we tie one game and lose another, and suddenly people are acting like it’s over. It’s not over. But we really need to strengthen at center-back badly. I seriously don’t understand the hate on our wingbacks during this game. People are saying we need a new left-back, but let’s talk about Robbo. In the seven years he’s been here, no one has ever questioned his ability. Now, after just a few months of bad form, everyone suddenly wants him replaced? We didn’t act this way with Trent or even Virgil when they had poor spells last season or the one before. Why is Robbo being singled out now? Tsimikas, for example, had a great game. He’s had a really solid season too. He ran up and down the line nonstop, covering for Ryan and Macca when they missed challenges. The low ratings he’s getting don’t make any sense. He worked his socks off and doesn’t deserve the criticism. We need to stop blaming Robbo for losses and look at the real issue, which is with the center-backs. Trent was at fault for the Man United game, but no one dares to call out Virgil. He’s 33 now and still world-class, but he’s not a machine anymore. He needs support. We need someone in their prime to step in for some games and give him a break. Wingbacks are only as good as the center-backs beside them. Virgil and Ibou still make good challenges, but they’ve been caught ball-watching too often. Ibou wasn’t fully fit, so why bring him on when Endo was amazing? Endo should be starting at center-back until Ibou is ready. The wingbacks fought hard and deserve higher ratings. The real problem is that we haven’t replaced Matip yet, and it’s starting to show. If we want consistency, we need center-back signings now.

Think the teams got the yips, last two games have both been nervous. Is it fatigue? We keep using the same players even when we have an opportunity to rotate. Hope this is something we get over quickly, but could impact our year.

Nearly all of our goals come from wide players with very little from the central strikers! A top club cannot allow this to continue! Anybody thinking Jota or Nunez are top quality doesn't understand football! We need a top, top striker to replace those two or this dip in form will become seriously worrying! Marmoush or Cunha up front and a back THREE of VVD, Konate and GUEHI would solidify our defence!
