That's a very short wheelbase. Nice truck, I'm doing up '61 J6 now. Hopefully ready in the next two decades 😂😂😂

Same here 😂 these were rebadged as Hindustan J6 here in India.. I'm planning to restore ours since 2007-08 and so far I have only managed to get half cabin (that too rusted to death) and trying to find a set of fenders for like 10-12 years.. these are long gone from Indian roads 😢

We have one of these and I remember how my cat tried to jump on it, but slipped off due to the curved sides around the lights (it's a 1964, but I don't want to go sharing too much online)

These were quite popular in India in the 1960s and 1970s. They were made under license by a company called Hindustan Motors. Many were used as police vans and earned the nickname of 'Beating Van' as criminals or political protestors were picked up and the policemen had a go at them while they were being driven to the Police Station.

In India the tipper version was much cheaper than the Leyland or the Tata Mercedes Benz makes, but much less durable.
