I love the name Devyn, which has a modern feel and also Tilly, which is a cute pretty name, but I don't think it's super rare. I also like Eliza, and makes me imagine a smart and elegant woman. But I think if I were having a daughter now I would call her Autumn, but might have to arrange the birthdate for the autumn!!! 😂. That's made me think Winter would be a nice name for a boy! PS, I have loved all of the names you mentioned, boys and girls!

My daughters are Poppy and Fable ❤ I tend to love the Boho, cottagecore, and whimsical type baby names. I have the hardest time coming up with boy names I love tho 😅 (I live in Canada, and Poppy seems to be quite rare here so far haha even tho, i think it's more common in the UK). I teach preschool in the Upper Midwest in the United States, and our naming culture is a bit different, but in general , I have to agree that people are indeed getting braver with some of the choices they are picking for their children's names. I have a little boy called Legend in pne of my classes and my thirteen year old daughter has a friend called Denali, so there you have it. I think Plum and Ametheyst are wonderful and fun names which will flow nicely with your other two girls names. I would like to also add the suggestions of Coco , Petal and Marigold, because I think they are sweet fun and very feminine, like the names you have already given your two daughters, yet don't sound completely beyond the pale, and are relatively easy for folk to say and spell and I don't think that they sound so cutesy that they won't age well. For boys, I really like Orlando, because it hss an O ending. Which is something you seem to like for boys and while if is familiar thanks to the actor Orlando Bloom, I don't think it is nearly as popular as something like say , Sebastián, yet it has a romantic and literary edge to it( being a name from Shakespeare) at least in my humble opinion. You’ve gotten some pretty and unusual names in there. Please reconsider Plum. My youngest is Clementine (think very British ie Lady Churchill and other members of the nobility). My daughter always got Ckemmie. However, the kids at school always called her Satsuma. Thankfully she was white blonde and not ginger 🤣. I just see Plum being the butt of many skits and named pudding.

I think kids tend to bully for names in secondary school more than primary. I dont think its the parents, kids just catch on to something and it spreads my sons surname is O'grady his middle name is Paul he was bullied a lot because 'Paul O'grady ' , wasnt even his first name I didnt even know who Paul ogrady was when he was born. His middle name was same as his dads. Kids will b kids you choose what you like Laurien, I was always concious when I chose my kids name what they would sound like when they are an adult. I think your children’s names are all lovely it’s good to have a different name. Not sure about Plum it’s cute but more of a nick name. Going back to the fish and chip smell if you burn a slice of toast it overrides the cooking smell found that one by accident.

With Plum I think of plum fairy for some reason. Autumn or Shaela are good unusual names. I suggest getting your husband to help you decide on names together. It's a joint effort, since he will be saying the name as much as you will.

I like unusual names. Adults are judgmental though, as someone who has been on interview panels names are judgmental in society. I’ve known people rejected for interviews etc because of first names.
