As someone going thru infertility, I can completely understand wanting one of these dolls. I can see why it would be hard to understand why any adult would want a doll that looks so lifelike. But when you’ve longed to hold your own baby for so so long, I’m starting to understand why some people would buy these. Please don’t judge people for the things that may help them

To be honest I am a man and my wife loves these so I started searching about them to be honest we been married for 7 years and it touches me so deep to see how gentle handling these dolls! Mothers are mothers even if they never had babies! It feels so natural to them and it amazes me to see it and truly makes me relax watching how gentle they get touching these dolls! It is so beautiful to watch a woman just being a mother ♥️

Se non avete figli la bambola sostituera'un bambino vero? Ho capito bene? Io se non avrei avuto figli facevo di tutto per adottarlo, non mi compravo la bambola che sembrano bambini morti. Ci sono tanti bambini che vogliono essere adottati altro che bambole... So'che costano da 1500 a 2000 euro i pannolini i vestiti costosi il biberon la culla il carrozzino ma fatemi il piacere con questi soldi fate beneficenza ai bambini poveri.

I'm a little freaked out how real she looks, however I am more impressed than anything else, that doll is gorgeous, the artistry and detail in the skin tone, fingers, the softness and flexibility of the silicone. Just Wow!!!

It's an amazingly realistic doll. I do find it unsettling though. During my nursing career, I worked 10 years in labour and delivery. Some mothers would come to us because they hadn't felt the baby move in a day or two. Tragically, it was often a fetal demise. This reminded me of 'stillborn' care. Preparing, cleaning, and dressing their limp, still bodies so the family could hold them and take photos. The only difference was the colour. The doll is pink. The stillborn babies were pale or dusky except their lips looked dark red or dark purple against their ashen faces. I know this is just a type of doll that some people like to collect. I just watched it out of curiosity, but it brought back memories of lost babies and their grieving families.

Comunque queste bambole costano da 1500 a 2000 euro qualche anno fa'puo'darsi che vanno di piu'.. Ma io se me la regalano non me la prendo, ho bambole bambolotti bamboline piccole da quando ero ragazza giocano le mie nipotine. Ma queste mi mettono ansia mi fanno una brutta impressione.

It's very normal, don't let anyone tell you it isn't! Better to have a reborn or silicone then a real baby at your age. Im the mother of five,the youngest is 52. Even though the artistry of this doll is unbelievable excellent, I can only think of a dead baby. We handled oue 2yr old grandson's funeral, and it was tramatic! This beautiful doll no longer looks like a toy baby doll, but a deceased baby!

What do you do with them? Do you display them in a case, or have them set up around your home? Do you actually play with them like kids play with dolls - Changing them, dressing them, imaginary roleplay stuff? I dunno much about this hobby (I understand that some folks use it as a therapy and that makes sense) but I’m curious about what people actually do with the dolls they collect!

Nah so they are displayed sort of in a room. They one lays in a soft like baby pillow… silicone can be dented by sharp corners etc. There is a lot of photography in the hobby, and mostly I just enjoy looking at them. I don’t rile play or pretend they are real. It’s an art doll - hard to describe why I want them. I am so wowed by the realism and think they are so cute, so it’s like any other collectible I guess that you just enjoy having, except this elicits the “so cute” response.

They are limited edition and this doll is one of a kind. Collectors are happy for each other when they have purchased a doll they wanted and added it to their collection. Imagine you collected old cars, for example, and won an auction of a sought after model in great condition.

It isn’t just a toy doll. It happens to be a high-end collectible for adults. These are extremely realistic representations of actual babies made of the very best silicone so that they are flexible and have real baby skin tones, veining, and often have hair which is applied strand by strand. They wear actual preemie or newborn baby clothes and are very appealing to women for many reasons which you apparently would not be able to understand, so why did you watch this video in the first place? So that you could make fun of the collectors? I suggest that you go elsewhere for your entertainment if this doesn’t make sense to you!

I personally think these dolls are creepy, yet incredibly artistic, but it's like ANY collector out there. These dolls are insanely expensive, and can be sold for even MORE $$$. Some people like collecting coins, or old cars, and some like these one of a kind sculptures. This lady said she made a down payment on her house by selling some of her dolls. You're probably thinking of the people who pretend these dolls are their real offspring.

I hate this method of unwrapping these dolls. It’s supposed to heighten suspense but imo it just makes more associations with dead babies. Please unwrap the doll first, head down then dress her in the outfits and show us. It would be so much more enjoyable and easy to relate to the hobby/appeal. I am a doll collector, but I can’t understand this with the diaper wrapped around the head etc. Being a mom this just goes against my instincts - it gives me anxiety. I’m honestly trying to understand this appeal but I don’t get it. I think a lot of it is the way it’s packaged and the methodology of unwrapping, not uncanny valley itself. Btw: a tip if you turn her over, cradle her jaw/neck in your hand. The length of her body can lay on your forearm. Supporting her head as you would a real infant will help you handle her and be less awkward.

I have bad anxiety.It's an almost real looking baby. But I cannot deal with her face. It is creeping me out knowing it's a doll that isn't real when it looks like she should open her eyes and smile at me and then maybe whimper and cry. Why do people want these dolls? Seriously its just weird

They are beautiful dolls, but they look deceased. When I saw childs play and poltergeist where that clown grabbed that little boy...I couldn't get no dolls at all.

Um no. It’s a doll. It’s for people who are impressed and appreciate the talent skill and realism of someone’s artistic ability and who have likely alway loved dolls. Kind of morbid that that’s where your mind goes.
