That trim was needed. As a 4C gal myself I struggle to keep my nape the same length as the rest of my hair. I think that’s one of the reasons her nape was shorter. It came out beautiful

You could have a some form of alopecia in the nape of your hair or you may need to apply more condition to area daily because it may just be drier and breaks off when it grows so you’re not retaining the growth.

@@ashleycblayou’re right! My crown area was the shortest and I mean shortest part of my hair, always breaking off, dry and so itchy until I changed my shampoo! Yes, you read that right my shampoo! I started using ketoconazole shampoo and I no longer have the issue I had before! It’s amazing!!!! I also wash and condition my hair on a regular bases.

I had the same issue. Its the driest part of my hair. I believe it reacts this way because my mother used to hot comb the hell out of my hair while I was under 6. Especially my nape.

Great video Janay! Her hair was extremely kinky how long do you think her silk press will last with her tape ins that much straigter? I'm in Florida so I can only do a silk press in December when its not so humid but I use kinky straight hair so it can blend well. ❤
