As someone who grew up with a single mom who worked two jobs and was on welfare… you can’t just eat steak all the time lol. Sometimes you can and even then food stamps don’t cover that much. Then if you do end up getting a decent job that starts to cover bills, you will lose all benefits and your insurance if you go over a very small amount of money you’re legally allowed to make. It’s incredibly hard to escape poverty and at the same time there are so many people that have no idea what they’re talking about when they bash people on government funding and make them out to be lazy when realistically it’s so difficult to escape the loop. Not only are you funny and a genuinely interesting person, we share a lot of the same values, as silly as that sounds. Not only to I agree with some of your smaller opinions like all movies are good movies, crusty white dogs don’t deserve slander, Doritos fucking slap, farts are funny, etc. but you also share the same core values as I do Be kind to people, kids are annoying lmao, not caring what someone does as long as it’s not harmful or hateful, gay rights, trans rights, which are human rights lol, tiktok is good but it has some shitty - but entertaining - content, science is real, don’t be a racist bigot, etc etc. Every bit that you say “that’s so fuckin stupid”, I love. It really caught me off guard when you said “this podcast sucks.” I know it was mostly a joke, but - I have never not enjoyed a podcast of yours. Lastly, I would just like to say something that 100% agree with that you said… pausing a sound effect halfway and cutting it off is so fucking, dude.
