Here is the explanation! 1) Chorus is a dedication to russia, as crown of course signifies empire and even in video when they sing it the first time they show russian sister, not Ukrainian. Ukraine has never had such symbol like crown. But russia has this symbol on their national emblem. 2) Evoking sisterhood among all slavs at this moment in history feels like a spit on Ukrainian suffering caused by their "sister". 3) russia has 300 years long history of destroying ukrainians, their culture and their land. In this context the abstraction of the russian sister as been mislead by some shadowy powers just feels criminally naiive and tone deaf 4) russians actively use the language of brotherhood to subjugate Ukrainians. Calling them "little brothers" etc. 5) Panslavism is also part of russian fascism narrative - all slavs must unite and ruled by russia. 6) There is a russian girl in the band. History has shown that there are no good russians. And there should be a collective responsibility

@@nomercy-my7rf Buddy, you are so wrong it's both laughable and embarrassing. 1) Just a few honorable mentions: "Spectacular flower crowns rule in Ukraine" National Geographic "Female dancers in Ukrainian folk dances wear floral crowns, whereas their Russian counterparts generally do not." Vogue "Ukrainian flower crown: symbolism of flowers and ribbons" 2) Russia had crown on national emblem? Guess what, Sherlock, so did half of Europe. It's literally the main symbol of monarchy. A very important symbol in Britain, while in Russia it's a random tiny part of emblem no one cares about. Check the list of Russian symbols, top 10 and crown nowhere. And the one they have has been insignificant since 1917. 3) You are indeed right in one thing, but still completely missing the point. Yes, panslavism was a weapon of Russian narrative, but what this song is doing, is taking it from Russia and using it against them. That's a very clever way of destroying Russian ideology and giving it new meaning -> Slavs are indeed uniting, but Russia is not even part of it now.. and that unity is against them.

That message is strong, even smallest word of support counts. My Polish, Ukrainian and Belarusian friends really like the song and I like it a lot! We have to express support in difficult times. In times when you have to run away from your native country, leave your friends, family and in the worst case your husband. I have several friends like that. Completely into the idea of a Slavic sisterhood supporting their sister country Ukraine - that's totally effing special !!! It's ABSOLUTELY the only winner in ESCZ but, just on a downside - lazy, kinda clumsy, English lyrics based predominately on the easiest rhyme sort of lost me in the way "When God Shut The Door" did. With better articulation this would have SUCH credibility as contender. Mind you, in the odds, Czechia has gone from 29th to 5th overnight!

That Russian girl in video eating that soup is metaphor for russians being under control of russian propaganda… Words in czech are about how is ukraine strong, beautiful and no one has right to stole ukraine’s Sovereignty. “We are not your dolls” means that slavic countries like czechia, ukraine, slovakia… has a bad experiences with russian occupation.
