There was a time these were common in Pakistan my father got one from 1978 and we still have that in Mint condition fully maintained. No one ride it now its standing in our garage. There use to be a time when we 3 brothers use to fight over it haha now everyone got their own cars and its standing in garage. But so many memories associated with Vespa. All my school life pick and drop I will keep with me forever.

Shaboo is a love I still come here. My Dad used to bring me here and v used to love its Qatlama and Mutton Tikki. Although its been 27 years since my Dad died but I still come here with my elder bro. Nashta made in desi ghee absolutely outclass. Very crowded on Eid days. A total Soghaat of androon shehr.

Vespa was a great ride , my father bought in 1968 Lambretta Scooter and Datsun car. Lambretta was not a great success, it was 175 cc. In 1972 he bought Vespa and up to mid 80s he always had Vespa. The shape of Vespa was changed in early 80s and it was called new body line. Unfortunately, it was not the most liked shape, my dad buy one for Rs. 13200 but sooner he realised this is not what I like and he once again bought 1976 model Vespa. Living in Faisalabad, it was owned more or less every one. It was called the “ car of poor” as well. I believe it is not available new one in the market, I left Pakistan in 1985 and since then I have got no knowledge about Vespa. Living in England, I have seen lots of Italians using the old models of Vespa. They ride from Italy to England, and I really admire that. When ever I look at old models, it reminds me of my childhood.

In India Piaggio has start it's Vespa scooter production in early 1960s with Bajaj Auto, India made Vespa was with 150 cc 2stroke petrol engine with 3 gear shifts... eventually in early 70s Piaggio made exit from India though Bajaj Auto took over co and went ahead with scooter and 3 wheeler production to became one of the famous Indian scooter brand. .. Bajaj introduced multiple scooter models, around 80s Bajaj scooters commands huge waiting period to get delivery... Bajaj was household name till 1995 by which Bajaj Auto stopped production of scooters to focus entirely on motorcycle production. .. meanwhile Piaggio reenter in India in late 80s to commenced scooter production with 4 stroke engines which is continual till date with latest models... while Bajaj Auto has reintroduced it's famous scooter model in 2020 but this time as EV, a electric scooter. . Today apart from motor cycle exports, Bajaj Auto exports it's three wheelers to more than 80 countries, right from Afghanistan Iran Iraq to most of African continent to Latin America, even to UK...
