Here in Japan everyone just about already forgot about G-Witch now that Seed is back in the scene, its Blu-Ray sales had been pretty lukewarm compared to other Gundam franchises, and hobby stores are having trouble getting rid of their mountains of unsold G-Witch kits. On the other hand, they could dedicate most of the store's shelves for Seed kits, and those shelves would be empty the next day.

Buster Gundam got remodeled somehow, but it didn't incorporate any Blitz Gundam parts. Same goes with Shinn, the color scheme on Destiny Spec II reminds me of Legend Gundam, the one that Rey piloted. Spoilers for the movie: According to the 2nd volume of Gundam SEED Freedom novel, Nicol's father, Yuri Amalfi was involved with the remodeling of Duel Blitz and Lightning Buster, it clearly hinted that he made Duel Blitz in honor to Nicol. It also doubles as entrusting Duel Blitz to Yzak, despite that Yzak gave Nicol a hard time early in ZAFT. From what I heard, Yzak's mother is now a part of Clyne faction.

I used to be confused about who the main character was but when I rewatched it as an adult, Gundam Seed Destiny has a storyline that is truly true to reality. In the world of politics and war, there is no main character who is able to solve problems alone. In the past, the ending of the story when Kira Yamato shot Gilbert Durandal felt strange because the main characters were Athrun and Shin Asuka, but now Kira who resolves the conflict by planning to shoot Gilbert Durandal feels like a reasonable choice

As good of a song as Wings of Words is, the moment Vestige became an OP for Final Plus....yeah, there was no contest in which was the better final OP. Wings of Words had 0 energy for a final OP of an action show. So, it was fitting that this became the HD Remaster's final OP. I only hate that it meant this couldn't still be an insert song for Strike Freedom's debut then big rescue moments, though the latter went with an equally good substitute...the only substittue

Probably to fit the tone. Invoke and Ignited were high energy openings, while Moment, Believe, Pride and Bokutachino Yukue had the darker and dramatic tone for the middle part, and Realize was the final opening for hopeful finale with dark undertone. Wings of Words being an R&B song gave me whiplash on first time after all previous openings ngl.

When I first saw this for Final Plus years ago, I was glad we weren't going to end with Wings of Words in the list of OPs. It's a great song, very feel good song...but very poor choice for the final opening for an action series. There's no tension or energy from it. Even the most un-action-y final OPs, like Zeta's, still had some energy that Wings of Words honestly lacked. IDC if it's Shinn's song and Vestige is Kira's, former didn't sound like a good final OP. So, honestly, replacing it with this for the HD Remaster was a no-brainer.
