A fire put an end to six centuries of history in Monte do Castro Hill. Due to its privileged location, on Castrove Hill, it controlled part of the Umia River Valley and both the fields and nearby boats. Thanks to the preserved remains, we can understand how its inhabitants used to live. Together with the archaeological constructions, more than 100,000 different pieces were found, a real treasure of information that has allowed us to understand much better how people used to live in the Iron Age.
So, come and visit it the next time you are in the village of Ribadumia.
