@@murdomeekI haven’t done any hardcore trails yet, but this might take the cake over the extreme or the Patton for me. The 20” tire makes it easier to ride over bumps. Shots taken at the adventure suspension 😂… all in good fun, I too think this is my next wheel and first Leaperkim as I use to buy begode, & have s22 its time for a Veteran wheel… I am not an inmotion fan but/c the torque has never lived up to the marketing with them… they claim all this power yet most riders claim the highly touted by some “adventure” isnt in the same league for torque as the patton… anyway as a big rider Leaperkim Lynx looks like a solid choice.

@naaspam1185
@naaspam1185 Жыл бұрын
The V14 will likely be pretty solid when the suspension is tuned for the rider, but the suspension type will never be as plush as this type. Definitely won't be as good as the Lynx overall, but then the Lynx does cost $900 (28%) more. LK isn't really known for discounting wheels like Inmotion is either, so chances are we'll see some steep discounts on the V14. The V12 is already down around the $1800 mark and the V13 is currently $3300, only $100 more than the V14. I'll bet we'll see the V14 discounted to the $2500-$2700 mark within the next year. The Lynx may not see any price cuts.

@@KaizenOz The Lynx has magnesium in the motor and supposedly a magnesium wheel. Explains how they were able to keep the weight down. Magnesium is a lighter and stronger metal than aluminum, so it shouldn't strip easily. I haven't heard of any issues on the Lynx with stripping, but there have been reports of the magnesium corroding the wheel on the tubeless tire because of the compound they're using to install it.

@TheThunderwars 8 ай бұрын
Honestly the motor's wattage is irrelevant. Veteran seems to underpromise and over deliver. This motor delivers 8kw peak, the 3.2kw advertised as nominal isn't really a useful value. You are never using more than 3kw at cruising speed. You only need power to keep you upright when accelerating during transient demand of power. The higher voltage on the lynx enables you to pump a lot of current at any rpm. I would think that the lynx 3.2kw is much more IRL power than KS 4kw.

@s0d4c4n
@s0d4c4n Жыл бұрын
I think the only reason the V14 is meh is because the Lynx came out at the same time. I pulled the trigger on the V14 because I told myself I didn't want a 20" wheel, and certainly didn't want to spend an extra $1000 for it. Now of course they're saying the Lynx feels as nimble like a 16", sigh. But I was just riding my v12 today and loved it. FOMO aside, I'm sure I'm going to love my V14 too. I couldn't really pick out many concrete criticisms of the V14 from the other vid. Mostly "it's a great wheel, just not for me" which I read as just a personal preference/acclimation rather than flaws.

A more skilled rider at tackling stairs could probably do it. I’ve seen videos. But these stairs have gaps between them significant enough that the smaller tire couldn’t easily find grip on the next step and instead started spinning out. This highlights the benefits of a 20” wheel over 18”, but unlike a lot of 20” wheels that feel heavy and sluggish, the lynx has the nimbleness and responsiveness of a smaller wheel.
