Veteran Sherman MAX - Quality Check

Warning many SMAX have issue with bad selaing motor hole and dust and sand can go into motor magnet area this is assembly issue. Anyway S22 and T4 have serious motor issue what casue cut off is named motor slipage becasue is same motor manufcturer. All S22 kingsong recaled (created before 8/22) and T4 have same issue is very dangerous. On SMAX you self check how good is sealing motor(black silicone) and potencionaly reaply if needed.

Motor should be checked! the hole where the motor wires exit the motor is not sealed properly and should be siliconed for weatherproofing. More information about it is on the forum

Nice to get a closer look at the Max! I use the same electric drill btw nice drill but dam that little thing needs some extra torque! lol 😂

The price is a problem, but the problem is that products that are not waterproof enough cost more than 2100 euros. If you want to get that price, I'll admit it if you have a thorough AS. However, with very few ASs, this price is a bubble.

Love how the top of yours pops right off, I've spent the last 4 hours trying to pry mine off. I think they superglued it on. edit.... Idiots at Ewheels silicone the top cover on all their sherman maxes when they swapped the batteries..... Now I have to send them the whole wheel instead of just a bad battery.

I've been riding a Sherman Max for . . . quite a few months. And while I'm certainly not hard on my wheels, I'm pleased to say "so far, so good". And it does have perceptibly better quality than other wheels I've owned. Glad to see that the inside construction looks better as well. I've recently disassembled both Begode and InMotion wheels and neither of those looks as robust as what Adam found inside the Sherman Max. I will say this about my Begode RS HS - since replacing the batteries with Molycells, it is a really nice riding experience and the lighter weight is appreciated. One closing remark on my Sherman Max - the battery "gauge" isn't accurate, When assessing the range, I took it out at an indicated half-full battery and the wheel died just a couple of miles from the starting point, so don't trust the gauge on the display.

Still got some work, I was out late on empty streets practicing fast stops, and had a kid in a smart car stop to ask if I was ok, so not super validating. I’ll be curious what your experience in Canada is like. I live in the Washington, DC suburbs, and I’ve been marveling at some of your videos in terms of good roads in Poland. Sidewalks can be a punishing ride here, when you are lucky enough to get a sidewalk. I need to step up my EUC to be road safe, though the v8s has been excellent learning on some shocking tree root ridden surfaces. The real sustainability is being fast enough to be out in the nice, smooth road.

A suspension wheel makes a huge difference. I waited about two years before I got one and boy am I glad I did.

@@kmg501 yeah, I almost certainly will. I like the lessons I’m learning, but it’s a scary time on the sidewalk. I prefer being off-road, as if I lose control, I don’t need to worry about flying off into 45+ mph traffic. The worst here are peoples driveways go over the sidewalk, so there are weird cars coming at you from behind hedges, but there are also grade changes for their driveway lane to slope down to the roadway. Difficult to navigate quick at all, and total nonsense to subject sidewalk people to.

I'm a new rider and recently completely shattered my rim by hitting a bump I didn't see. I don't blame the wheel or anything, just thought it was interesting that it didn't bend, it just broke in pieces! :O

@@mr_wrongway I could understand if they said it was 3600 wh when really it's only 3590. or even 3550 because of rounding. but underneath that it should be rounded to the nearest 100 wh at least. meanwhile, as you stated, this is over 200 wh in error, which shows it is deliberately misleading. and for anyone who thinks 100-200 wh doesn't make much difference: thats the entire size of most small scooter batteries. For an electric vehicle like this, 100 wh is pretty important. 200 wh is worth like 100 or so dollars.

Hm, that one looks different than mine. I don't recall seeing the square foam inserts, and i don't recall seeing a fuse in that location on my SherMax 🤔. In fact, I don't even recall seeing a fuse, but I'm sure it has one... I'll have to double-check lol. I also have a white rubber gasket along the shell on mine. Strange
