The drums and the solo is a perfect illustration of rage and fear at the same time. The Strategic Bombing strategy used during WWII was horrible. The aim was to demoralize the enemy so that peace or surrender became preferable to continuing the conflict. A terrible thing that hit mostly civilians. An epic song discribing the horrors of war.

A thing that is some what important for this album, is that many of the songs have a quote from 'The Art of War' before the music starts. 🤠👍

Just some statistics to go with the theme of the song: During the Blitz the Luftwaffe dropped 41,000 tons of bombs on Britain from September 1940 to may 1941, Britain would in turn drop 31,504 tons on Germany over the course of 1941, another 45,561 tons in 42, then 157,457 more tons in 43, 525,518 tons in 44 and 191,540 in 1945 culminating in RAF bomber command dropping 964,644 tons of ordinance on Germany from 1939 to 45, the USAAF would drop an additional 623,418 between 1942 and 1945 on Germany.

This song was actually British bombing on German residential zones to break the spirit of the German people, they used mostly incendiary bombs, hence the name of the song, the later part of the song is supposed to be the American incendiary attacks on the Japanese, keep in mind both of these were near the end of the war when they could hardly fight back but just refused to surrender

For context.. Firebombing was tragic. Arguably more cruel than nuclear attacks. Intentionally cooking tens of thousands of civilians, women and children. It was absolutely the right thing to do but was also tragic. If your government initiates the attack of civilian targets, you must be made to understand why we consider it illegal. To prevent civilians from being bombed.. We had to demonstrate to everyone untill all could agree that it should never happen.

I would advice watching the Sabaton history video to this song because the video is showing axis airraids while the songs focused on allied fire bombing of civilians.

after thinking about the video a bit,.. what do you think were the bomber crews thinking? i mean the ones ordered to bomb civilians not the ones going after military targets.... london,.. dresden,...hiroshima... i mean i am no soldier,.. i am epileptic so i wasnt allowed to serve,.. but isnt it in theory the same as ordering your infantry to go into that town in front of you and just kill everything in sight? yeah you may hit some enemies,.. but the majority will be civilians...

The video is actually not really good (the fan-made music video... not your reaction. That is spot on as usual ;-)). The song is specifically about the indiscriminate bombing of German cities with the intent to cause as many civilian casualties as possible, hoping this would heighten the pressure on the nazi regime. So the clips from the Battle of Britain and (even worse) Pearl Harbor don't make any sense. But as always, great reaction! Thank you very much.
