I'm a lifelong student of politics and history, with a master's degree in the latter and a DEEP interest in the political history of several major players on the world stage over the years, the UK absolutely being one of them. And I have never seen anything like what we are witnessing right now. I cannot think of a single situation in history where anything even REMOTELY comparable has happened, NOT EVEN the destruction of the political left in France after Francois Hollande's disastrous precidency. Not even that. This is beyond that on every level. We are talking about a party which, five years ago, won 365 seats in parliament in what was widely described as an actual landslide. An EIGHTY seat majority. And now this. This is ... this is mindboggling. This is the party of the Iron Duke, of Lord Palmerston, of Benjamin Disraeli, of Winston Churchill (twice) and ... ew ... even Margaret Thatcher ... ew ew ew ... And they may be on the verge of ceasing to exist. I feel like I'm a witness to a historic, political event of absolutely -epic- proportions.

you can just imagine Sunak disembarking on Juno beach, wading waist deep through the Channel waters, avoiding incoming fire from gun emplacements and the strafe of hostile air fire, gasping with the effort as he leaves the water onto the sand ... and shooting himself in the foot.

Did Nick Ferrari just do the "yap yap yap" hand gesture when an old Veteran was talking about loosing his medals at 2:28 ? Errr Nick, the cameras are still on mate. Disgusting.

You are like Sunak trying to find fault in Labours taxplan !....the answer is no....that is actually the commonly used studio gesture to ask for his microphone to be put back on...and if you follow it through you will see he responds about the medals towards the end...so no its not disgusting but someone trying their best to stir up s**t is.

It's a very rare thing, to see a political leader _in the midst of an election campaign_ *_literally put party over country_*

It was the deepest shame that Sunak put a ITV recording before the 80th Anniversary of people giving their lives for this Country. Even those still living were so brave. They should have had the deepest respect from the UK Prime Minister. However, it appears Sunak could not be bothered and preferred to get back early to get on with his politics.

you mean get back to get on with his lying.

Why should Rishi be ashamed or care, nothing to do with him. He supports and backs India through thick and thin that’s why he needs a longer term as prime minister to support the Indian economy. ❤

Sunak’s apology on Sky news sounds like a robot spewing out a flawed subroutine!

Pretty hard to imagine anything he could do to lose support of the gammon at this point.

It says a lot about the British public that THIS is the source of the outrage and not the fact that they celebrated D-Day with a Banderite present.
