Obviously the instruction was excellent since it was Donovan Waite Sensei, but the production value of this video is excellent; different camera angles and the use of slow motion just made it that much more of an excellent archive of Waite Sensei. Thank you so much for posting and sharing.

Back in the late 1980's, I was about to test for my black belt in Hapkido, and my photo studio was a few blocks from the NY Aikikai. I attended classes there for about 6 months, during lunchtime, to get extra practice, falling and encountering opponents, and Donovan was Yamada's demo student. He slammed him to the mat, with loud crashes, almost the entire session. This is how you learn; Waite Sensei's students were lucky to be instructed by him. He was a great guy.

Its an art form, very beautiful but........in a street fight this will not help you. Grabbing your wrist 😂😂 what about low kicks, uppercuts, elbows and knees ? How do you block that 😂😂??
