For a dog that needs consistent and routine grooming it is best to start them off as a puppy, around 6 months, with just a bath and some nail trims and so on to desensitize them because it can be an overwhelming event. Bam Bam probably wasn't desensitized properly or had a traumatic grooming experience which can happen. It's sad because grooming for dogs is mostly about quality of life compared to just looking pretty.

WOW Claude is super sensitive to his space being invaded! His owner is so good with him...and Scott is such a gem. He takes on so many patients that no other vets will see, due to their behavior with vets.He just figures out a way to make get around an issue, and make his patient better, despite their sauciness. Claude definitely looks like he wants to take a few bites out of Scott! Look at that side eye he gives him. DANG! Chris is really good at understanding what a behavior problem stems from, and rigging gadgets to thwart that behavior....and rigging gadgets in general, when nothing exists to help a patient. He just designs something...or inquires from us in the US if we have anything that would work for whatever his patient's need is.

Vets like these that risk serious injury but continue to treat aggressive pets are worth their weight in gold. It can be dangerous to muzzle dogs like Claude with brachycephalic (pushed in) faces so the fact that they're willing to think outside the box to ensure he receives the care he needs just goes to show how dedicated this team is to their patients.

Finally got that cleared, and then he fell out a window and got injured. Ten weeks of non stop vet clinics and hospital stays to fix his injured leg. No vet wants me to bring Echo to see them. Always considered Scott as great vet, who has compassion and understanding for animals but extreme cases like this shows how great his level of compassion and understanding is, it would be easy to judge and write these animals off as just plain aggressive and untreatable but it warms my heart that Scott and these animals owners know that clearly some trauma has happened to them and or theres other reasons unknown, to make them react this way, they all show such great understanding and thats just wonderful to see. The way animals behave is never for nothing, there will be always reasons to their behaviour- we humans just don't always get to know exactly what those reasons are but Bravo to those who still love and care enough to treat difficult animals, such credit is owed to them...

@@Rachel0400 in the fairness of the keepers, if this snake say sheds once a month and they try to reduce handling as much as possible for keeper and snake safety it's quite understandable that it had four layers stuck. Also sometimes stuck eye caps on the eyes are bad enough to remove even with a more placid snake. If he's already getting agitated by them trying the first couple times, the risk goes way up. Even moreso, not all of the keepers at the reptile park would be allowed to handle the venomous reptiles due to inexperience and safety issues. Not saying it's ok whatsoever to let it get so bad, but I'm just trying to give some light to possible reasons for why it got this bad before being removed by enough experienced people.
@idiotically-everything Жыл бұрын
@@darkluxgames2347Once a month is a little too often for an adult snake, it's usually 3 to 6 times a year for an adult snake, and most snakes don't like being touched near their head, so especially with a spicy friend like that a stuck eyecap is a serious things. Usually you can try to handle it yourself with a lukewarm bath and a towel adventure and they get it off, but sometimes it doesn't work, so it's to the vet
@darkluxgames2347 Жыл бұрын
@@idiotically-everything Thank you for this. I'm not a snake keeper, I only watch videos on snakes from Snake Discovery and Chandler's Wild Life, where the snakes tend to shed more often, or at least those videos are uploaded often. It was an educated guess from what I've seen, meaning my guess was incorrect (I'm used to baby snakes I think shedding lol), but this also adds even more context for how it could have gotten that bad if they shed way less as adults!

The lady who owns Bambam needs to look at how she interacts with the dog and realize she creates some of the problems. Her anxiety transfers to him. Obviously at some point in his life the poor dog had a traumatic experience with a groomer, and her inability to remain calm exacerbates it. Seeking psychological help from a certified trainer would probably help, but she’s got to do her part.
