Yeah. My dog, cat, and horse are my family. Losing them will be like loosing anyone you love. And when I decide to adopt a new little creature and give them a home, it would never be to replace my old champ, but rather to give yet another animal a great life in a loving home, because thats what I wanna do with my life. I wanna live for and with them, no matyer how much sorrow I must carry by the end of it all.

It really is, my first bird who I viewed as my child had died. she was seven years old and I had to care for her since she was already struggling. The fatal issue with her was that she was under weight and her urinary track was getting bad, not to mention egg laying problems. Saddest part was is I got her from pet smart which was already a bad move; and she didn’t want to try any new foods that would’ve saved her life weight and nutrition wise. I gave her cuddle bones for her egg laying but she would give up eating seeds only. When we took her to a local vet the first time, I was given priority to give my bird liquid medication, keep her cage warm and sanitized, and feed her that paste based food for sustenance. I struggled in the beginning since she didn’t like being fed or given liquid medication but by the end she was willing to eat without having me hold her. She was doing so well til one day when I arrived home from school, she was at the bottom of her cage, fluffed and very lethargic. I was able to take her out and comfort her in her last moments while I contacted my mother to get her to an emergency walk in vet clinic. The news was given to me and my mom that there was something wrong physically but to get that procedure done meant a lot of money. Plus he told us there was a high risk that she wouldn’t have made it even if they proceeded to do so. My only option I had was to put her down and end her suffering…i didn’t go to school the next day and for weeks I cried a lot, my poor little Luna was gone. Then our dogs started to have signs of their final moments. First Toby, we knew that he was extremely skinny but when the vets told us that he had an unidentifiable mass in his chest, I came to the conclusion it was probably a tumor or something else. We couldn’t afford the cost of the procedure either so we have him the recommended treatment which was medication for his lungs. They were filling with liquid so to combat that we have him prescribed morphine. He was gaining weight but unfortunately his body couldn’t handle it and gave up; I woke up to my dad telling me about Toby had died that very morning. It didn’t hit me hard til I walked his brother Jackimo later that day. Then Jack died by a sudden rupture which caused his lungs to fill with fluid. The night before I knew we had to go now but my parents waited til the next morning. The first sign he have was his labored breathing, but by morning I ended up having to carry him down to the car since he was rapidly loosing his motor skills to even move. It was too late since he ended up died in my arms while I was in the back seat of my mom’s car, right when we were going to drive him to the emergency vet clinic. I still have jack’s collar as well as luna’s footprints as a way to remember her. After jack’s death I was numb, depressed and cried a lot. Wearing jacks collar on my wrist helped but to help ease the pain of loosing the pets I grew up with; I typed a letter in my notes app……I never imagined having to loose them but I did, I felt so much pain and was heavily depressed. Still do feel it when I talk about it and I’ll never forget. We now have 3 birds(Ducky a female cockatiel, Peanut a female Indian ringneck, and Tabasco a myer’s parrot) , and an adopted dog( my older brother’s dog Bella). Me and my family love them unconditionally even tho they have bratty moments ❤️ but all animals have those moments so it’s nothing new. In all, I’m just glad our deceased pets no longer are suffering and are in heaven. Rip Jackimo, Toby and Luna, you three will still be missed 😔

I struggled so hard to find the right avian vet for my bird. There aren't many in my country and the last one traumitised my bird. I don't really blame the vet but it did make taking her to get her claws trimmed awful, I felt horribly guilty every time. when we found our current vet I almost cried because it was the first time I came back from the vet without my poor bird being terrified and furious. Now days my bird actually loves our vet. She complains loudly the entire time but after wards she hops up to give the vet kisses. I think she's as grateful as I am to have such a dedicated, caring vet. Our vet changed our lives. She's part of our flock now and I couldn't be more thankful to her.

AGREE! I have a boxer, and she eats/chews/investigates everything that is within her reach. We learned early on that we couldnt leave ANYTHING on the floor that could be swallowed or chewed into fragments, so we started raising everything above her reach. Well now we have a cat, and we're moving towards doing the same. It worked out, because now were purging our home like new with no clutter, and cleaning a home with less things is SO MUCH easier, especially when in a rush.

Sitting here with my little chihuahua (well big chihuahua because he's a mix) and man I feel for victoria, buppy and also for Scott for having to be the bearer of bad news. Even though buppy is older and having medical issues Victoria seemed to have been working really hard to manage his needs so it seemed like such a surprise and blow for her to learn he wasn't doing well. I honestly wish victoria and buppy the best, he seems like such a little cutie with a lot of attitude and love to share and clearly really loves and trusts Victoria. Victoria if you happen to ever see this my dog and I are sending you hugs during this hard time, you clearly gave Buppy a wonderful and long life filled with a lot of love and because of that deep love you worked to overcome your own fears and phobias so you could give buppy the absolute best care, that took a ton of strength and really says a lot about how much you must love Buppy that you were willing to do something so difficult and scary for you.

How can anyone leave a kitten like that 🤬
@jenimoore3053
@jenimoore3053 3 жыл бұрын
I am was thinking the same thing. But the kind of break that kitten had was caused by someone either throwing her into a wall or snapping her leg in half so the only thing they thought about was to get her somewhere away from the abusive environment she was in. So it could have been a little kid that left her in the park with her toys in the box.

I’m so happy Chris adopted Cricket. He is such a loving guy with animals anyway, but seeing him light up every time he was talking about her or watching her be mischievous just made me realise there was a deeper bond between them. She couldn’t have gone to a better home. Honestly so happy for both of them xxx

Aww Victoria God bless her and her baby, I so understand how she feels as shes exactly as I am with my babies. I'm so terribly homesick and want to move home from America, but my babies are banned in the UK ( so incredibly stupid considering we're a nation of dog lovers) so here I stay with my girls by my side, love them 💜🐾🐾🐾🐾 I pray Victoria gets as much time as possible.

I can console so so so much..... with Victoria, that poor sweet pea. I know losing a dog is hard so so much. But I hope she realized she gave Everything to Buppi. That is the happiest puppy I’ve ever seen. She did nothing wrong, she did everything thing she could. and I know it’s hard to think that way cause we always feel like we should’ve, could’ve done more. Ultimately it was just his time to go. And that’s okay because he was happy the entire way. My dog Noodle is my everything, she’s gotten me through the worst things of the world. If it weren’t for her I wouldn’t be here. She’s getting much older now, 9 or 10 now And I dread the the day her time will come. But in the meantime I’m just going to love her unconditionally and I could never thank her enough. We don’t deserve dogs.

Who didn't bawl when it was revealed he was adopting Cricket? I hope if Victoria reads this, she seriously considers getting another Chi pup before Buppy passes. Only because Buppy could teach the pup so much before he goes, and would mourn along with her when it happens. I would never recommend that to the average pet owner, because 9 times out of 10, they'd let the senior's care decline while paying more attention to the puppy, but I don't feel that's the case with Victoria. I truly hope she considers it while Buppy still has some zest left in him. And the excitement of having a little tyke around could even motivate some more life out of him. There are times when the bond is so strong that it seems like a sacrilege to get another animal, but on the other hand, there can be sooooooooooooooo much comfort in knowing that the animal who remains actually knew the beloved pet that passed, and is only made better, and is appreciated, for having known and learned from them.
