I installed these on my '96 in a couple of hours, everything bolted right up, good fit. I understand yours doesn't have the front mounting holes because it's a pre-convertible year but I don't get why you have to make up that 4 inch gap. Also you probably want to leave at least 1/2 inch of threads on the front and rear joints so you can really tighten it. If you were to bottom out before it's tight it'll all be useless.

So a bolt on kit isn’t? Not a fan of that if so. Looked like a nice kit and easy driveway project up until then. I just can’t do metal work or welding. Sad😢

Yea unfortunately it will need fabrication unless vette2vette offers longer bars.
