A thing my music teacher told me to remember the open strings since I use to forget them all the time was: Eat A Dog, Good Boys Eat (the first letter is the string and yes I know its kinda dumb but it helped me memorize it)

Hey there. I did a video a while ago about breaking out of the pentatonic box, and being able to see the notes of the scale all over the neck, outside of scale boxes. better I think to pick a note find it all over the fretboard, on and on. If playing say blues in E find all the E notes first.
