Thanks for the review, Mark. Most of the negative reviews I came across are about the shelter leaking. This would be a con, if you are expecting it not to leak. Interestingly, I don't see anywhere in the description that it is waterproof. Still, it would be disappointing. Have a great rest of the week!

I agree. It is something the company could do to upgrade this tent for sure. Thanks for commenting

G'day Mark, nice set up overall there mate !!!. Yep I reckon its prudent to have some sort of mesh area to keep the critters out. Makes sense as a kitchen, though cook'n inside there, may turn the inside surfaces a bit mucky ? Hard to escape the heat @ 30 + C, though sounds like this one could well do with setting up in the shade, albeit cutting down on available light. Anyway, I like it, be good to know how you get on with seam sealing. Cheers Duke.

Yeah, my next job will be to make some seam sealer with silicone and paint thinner. Will take some time to complete all the seams though. Thanks for commenting Duke

You’re ready to go off grid. I’m glad it worked out for you guys, I remember the first review of it. What tent did you use. I have thought about getting a larger tent. The two tents I have are more for one person camping. It would be nice to have a larger more spacious tent. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️

If you are asking about our old screen house it was a Woods brand. Our current sleeping tent is the one in the video, Cabela's Getaway Cabin 6 but it is no longer made. Thanks for commenting

I picked up the MEC cabin tent 6 this year. Only used it for a week, but it took a couple days of really heavy rain, even including a tarp failure that caused a river to run under the door for a while, and I worked like a champ. Super heavy duty poles too. Though the fly seemed to have an annoying habit of touching the inside mesh. Dunno if that was a set up problem, or the way it’s made, but I’m a little afraid long term may be a problem. The family loved it though.

The MEC Cabin 6 looks a lot like our Cabela's version. I found getting good airflow was all about pulling the side tie-outs taught. I added about 10" of cord to them so I could get them further away from the tent/ Not sure if this will help you. Thanks for commenting Jim

@@MarkYoungBushcraft Yeah, our fav place has tons of trees close to it, so I can tie upwards next time

Nice 2 reviews of that nice shelter! Would you think four persons on chairs and a tiny table would fit into it and enjoy evenings when it gets cooler and windy? Thank you 👍

Did you say the seams are not taped (@6:20 or so)? Sounds like a nice product.

Yeah, I thought they were but on closer inspection they are not. Thanks for commenting
