We take a look at a 30l Vevor fridge / freezer. Works on 12v or 240v. Not mentioned is the option to change the voltage at which the fridge cuts off to save the battery.

Hi. Why did you look to replace the Halfords 30l cool box freezer with this one. As your review for the Halfords box was very positive. Therefore I’m a little puzzled you replaced it. Plus, as this box is not a ‘recommend’ from yourself, what fridge/ freezer box will you be looking to get next. Thanks.

Hi, had an issue with the Halfords freezer and they were unable to provide another (out of stock). I was going away and needed a replacement, so tried the Vevor. Although I would not actively recommend one, it is still working and doing what I need it to do. Cheers

Hi. Does the compressor cut in and out when it’s running on 12v or is there a continuous draw ?

Mine gets that F1 error all the time can't get rid of it...

I have found they don't like voltage below 12v. If engine is running, it works fine, ut if battery goes below 12v, it throws an error.

@@CLSJimny4x4 I believe they are more designed for constant power cigarette lighter set ups running off the starter batter alone, I think it's a built in safety feature so it can't drain your starter battery below 12 and leave you stranded. But a pain in the ass for an off grid set up running off a different battery, it may work well when hooked up to a solar panel though and only switch off at night and save your leisure batteries from draining too low until the sun comes up

I only get F1 if there is not enough 12v power. You need to plug it in using the supplied lead only no extension cords or double sockets etc
