Divider in the middle of your pants supposed to go all the way to the bottom and on the open in one corner

Correct this is basically for structural support. This pan is not a true divided pan.

I've been looking at these for a homemade oil tank evaporator I have tack-welded up in my driveway right now. Did you leak test it? I see some places where the reviewers all complain about cracked welds and leaks.
