Hi Aquamigos! Here is my unboxing and review of the VEVOR Pond Vacuum Cleaner. It's a pretty cool vacuum that will hopefully help me keep the bottom of my pond clean! You can adjust the length of the handle and it comes with several different vacuum head attachments. Let me know what you think about it!

the other hose the grey one can be put back into your pond so it cycles through and no water needed to top it off it will still collect debris but allows the cleaner pond water back into pond saving you water, or put hose in bucket so you can use some fish water for plants which be good for them

I believe it's so the vacuum don't fill with water as fast as possible while your vacuuming it gives you ample time to hit where you need to hit but that's only my opinion

Ah ok that actually makes sense. Like if you are not using the drainage hose the vacuum would fill up really fast if it was continuously on

Does the cloth filter bag stay in the machine during wet vac since the directions really don’t say one way or the other?

Hey Aquamigo…I would personally use the little brush attachment…seems like it would help break up the algae growth better. Let us know if you do try it please.

Looks good bro! I’ve got a pond vac that switch’s on and off, which is a bit annoying… i wonder what the reason is for the turn on turn off thing.. 👊

Thank you! Yeah it's a bit weird. Someone in the comments was saying maybe it's so you can just spot clean a few areas quickly without filling up the vacuum so fast if you aren't using the drainage hose

Oh great I just ordered this vac for my pond. It was so confusing as it said continuous and nothing about it shutting off every 25 seconds... that sucks

Good morning Aquamigo. Nice demo. I have an Oase pond vac, I've had for about 5 years now. It stays on until you shut it off. I'm not sure having that one shutting off every 30 seconds, would serve any purpose, other than aggravating the user. Too bad there's not an override switch to stop that feature. The longer output hose would be a must for me as well. Our Oase hose is pretty long ( not sure of the exact length) enabling us to drain the water far away from the pond as you pointed out. For the difference in price between the two, if I didn't already have one, I would buy the one that stays on too. Thanks for the review. 👍

Thank you Aquamigo! and good morning! I've seen those Oase pond vacs, they look really nice. Glad to hear it's working out well for you! Another Aquamigo was pointing out that the reason for the turning on and off may be so the vacuum doesn't fill too fast with water if you are not using the drainage hose for whatever reason. I guess it makes sense, but like you said, I wish I could override it. I was even tempted to test the #1 setting on the vac (which is meant for dry usage) but in the water because that setting does not shut off every 30 seconds, but probably not a good idea lol

I had one that shut off terrible.. i have the Oase vacumm #4. They are pricey but worth it.

Dude, really? Does nobody actually know the reason for it stopping, seriously? 😅it shuts off to allow the water to drain itself! If it didnt do that then you would be constantly having to walk over, turn it off, unplug the drain plug and let the water out. There is a flap inside the drain plug so that it doesnt stay open or else it would not ever suck anything up! ALSO, it's made so that the water goes back into your pond after it filters, only it doesn't filter! Btw, it wont even suck a leaf of the bottom of my pond, personally worst vacuum ever!

No smoke shouldn't be coming out of the top. I would suggest contacting support

Do you have to manually turn it off and on every couple of seconds? I kept it on for about 2 minutes, and maybe that's what caused it?@@TobiasHolenstein

Are you using the same model of vacuum like I am using in the video? because if you are, it should turn on and off on its own every 30 seconds or so. If it is just staying on, I believe you are using it in the "dry vacuum" mode. When using the dry vacuum mode, you shouldn't use it in your pond

I have the suction stop type. The one with the blue lid. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to manually turn that one off and on every couple of seconds@@TobiasHolenstein
