Fun facts: Stray Kids almost didn´t perform in this one bc their backup dancers had a problem in Korea and they didn´t arrive to Japan. They had to make quick decisions and they end up hiring Japanese dancers and learning the choreo one or two days ahead. Chan was so nervous but very grateful to the dancers bc they did a great job. The stage was really high and Hyunjin was so scared when he had to go down but he did a great job and it was an important (and shocking) part of the choreo, to bad that the camera work was not good. Finally, they went so hard on this performance that at the end Hyunjin and I.N. almost fainted. There are a couple of videos of those moments. Stary Kids are a very committed and hard-working group. I loved the arrangement of the song to make them like rock style and the acting on the video screens fit perfect with their concept. Even though I loved this MAMA presentation I still like more the MAMA 2020 performance. It is ABSOLUTELY OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! You should react to that one too. 🥰🤩😜

stray kids said that this is one of if not the hardest dances they’ve ever done. this performance was highly praised not only by other idols but by fans of other groups and fans of stray kids and by people who don’t even know who stray kids are! they actually almost didn’t perform this due to a problem with their normal backup dancers so they hired japanese dancers who learned the dance i believe in 2 days but they were all able to work extremely hard and made this beautiful performance happen! in my opinion it’s one of their best performances ever. also this performance was also live streamed so while there were a ton of people at the venue, there were also a lot of people online. so many fans of stray kids and even non fans said that they outdid every group who performed that day and some even said that their performance was so mind-blowing that it was better than the other group performances on day 2. a lot of fans were pissed tho bc the camera work was so bad (it normally is) but we were all still able to see them kill it also MAMA is an award show where many idols get awards and perform. so it’s like a concert+award show! it is quite long and stray kids are typically the last performers. also kpop groups do everything live, sometimes groups lip sync but majority of the time it’s 100% live with little backing vocals. stray kids are one of those groups that always do everything live. no lip syncing. they do have backing vocals depending on how much or little they need it but they don’t over do it and you can barely even notice when they do use it. the “phone lights” you’re referring are not phones actually! they’re lightsticks that fans can buy from whatever group they’re supporting! you can typically find them on any kpop store website or the official merch website of the group. stray kids lightsticks are hard to find bc some kpop stores scam you so some of them aren’t reputable. so it can be difficult to find them online. chan says that he watches a lot of reaction videos to them and he’s even said some of the channel names he loves watching so honestly he very well could see your videos!! and unfortunately the pressure on kpop idols is so bad. stray kids are typically hated on because of their different styles of music and by the same few fandoms bc they’re afraid stray kids will be bigger than certain groups. and unfortunately in kpop it’s very common for people to become a fan of one group member and spread hate on the rest of them. and it’s extremely common for fans to be extremely obsessive towards idols. kpop industry is quite a popular place especially now but it is also quite dark. so that’s why true fans always try and make sure their group is always seeing the love and support we have of them especially groups like stray kids where the members aren’t afraid to show their emotions and aren’t afraid of talking about their mental health.

That stadium is CRAZYYY there were thousands of people there. MAMA is an award show where many many artists go to perform, so the crowd was a mix of basically almost hundreds of fandoms. They literally left such an impression at MAMA and their performance was sick. Your not in the ghetto America is just not as lit as kpop 😂 Kpop has so much to offer and its immensely different. YOU DEF PASSED THE VIBE CHECK THO and ngl EVERYONE was complaining about MAMA bc the camera work was ASS. But its alr you cant really tell since skz snapped. Also: They were all SO tired after this performance. Hyunjin and I.N were on the verge of passing out, and could barely hold their own body weight. They fell after the performance was over. They almost didn't do the stage because it was really last minute and almost nothing was ready. THey barely got rest before the show because MAMA lasts like 4+ hours long and they have to sit there through the entire thing. MAMA is also like a 2-3 day event so they have to go back every day which barely leaves them time to rest. And not to mention they still have to do promotions, work in the studio, appear on shows, etc. They weren't getting rest at all around that time. I truly respect them.

This award show was held at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan, but Stray Kids went back to this same stadium in Feb 2023 and had two sold out shows filled with nothing but Stay. The members cried on stage because it was one of their early goals to one day have a show their. A Japanese Stay said in comments SKZ is absolutely huge in Japan and it's harder to get tickets to their shows than to many of the popular Japanese artists.

Yes, bro the more you watch kpop perform live it’s crazy. They do everything big or at least give some choreo & singing the whole time. thats the kyocera dome osaka in japan , it has a capacity of 55,000 people and skz first performed there on mama and were named as the best performers of the night , and this year they had their own manic tour concert at the same stadium and were sold out both nights, its truly insane

This performance was so good, I especially love this version of Maniac :D All kpop groups have backing tracks behind them btw, that's why sometimes you can hear two voices, and two voices is always a good thing because it means the group is singing live > Stray kids is always live, except for some words when they have to catch their breath or if they have difficult dance moves Just saying because when I watched my first live performance I didn't understand why there was two voices haha

Our baby IN collapsed after this 😢 They did SO good in this performance and the complicated circumstances behind it you’d never even know. They all killed it! IN isn’t my bias (Lee Know will be my heart and soul forever) but man…that kid has GROWN. Like his facial expressions, the lifting of his eye brow, the way they did his hair…he’s a MAN now. You should look at some fancams from this performance, even if you don't react to them... esp the Maniac part. The choreo at the end, after they sprint down the runway, is insane, but it's hard to see from the far away camera angle they show in this video. I'm partial to both Lee Know's and Han's. It's also cool to see how HARD they were running down the stage. It was really insane.
