I have a 2024 1980 C with 17 hrs on it. The pluses are boat rides n handles great and dry. Love the storage. Fishes great in the wind. Love the room on the from deck. The negatives. The trailer had one axle out of alignment eating tire up n other axle had bearing failure in less than 700 miles. Was told by Vexus two weeks to get trailer repaired. This was unacceptable to me as I fish every day. Thank You Nichols Marine for getting me a trailer so I could fish in my NEW boat. The storage boxes make water terribly to the point I’m taking The carpet out and putting in grate n drilling holes to get rid of moisture to prevent mold. Bilge pump float sticks n have to beat on it to stop it from running continuously. Only 3 compartments had cylinders on it n first thing battery compartment lid got into motor n scratched it up. Not to mention they slam shut n will cut your finger off!!!! As well they slam shut with a bang the will alert every fish for a mile. Back live wells won’t fully open with seat in place. Overall rating. C+ Forrest Woods would never let this boat leave his shop! Great concept with detail flaws. This isn’t to slam Vexus but for them to get better and understand quality must come first. I have bought a dozen new boats and I paid premium $$$$ n expect nothing less than premium product. I would not buy another one unless they prove to me they have it right.

I don’t have a large enough garage for a 1980…..But, I am so very proud of all the memories I have in my 2019 AVX 1880 now almost 5 years of Happy!!!…. Great Boats by Great People…

We all expected you to raise the hp rating after the design was proven. The x19 is rated at 200 and 10 inches shorter. A 200hp rating would make this boat sale like crazy. Heck, at least go to 175 if your worried about weight.

Yep. And only 115hp on the AVX1880 is a joke

I love my 1980. The only issue i have with it is the storage compartment on the starboard side leaks. I often get water in the compartment and it has damaged some of the things i had stored in it. I now need a new scale and small tool kit that rusted out. Other than that i love this boat. The ride is awesome.

No one in their right mind will pay that for a tin boat. And only a 150 rating? Ouch

I have a 21 1880 would love to trade up to the 2080 v2. I have heard there maybe a Merc 250 option in the works? If I could get a great trade in and a 250 I'm in!

The wider front deck is nice Vexus, but you guys need to do something about the biggest problem of all with the 1980. Its just underpowered and most anyone with experience with these boats will say the same. I have a 22 AVX1980 and overall I have really enjoyed this tin rig, but it just feels to slow a lot of time. I wont claim to know what it takes, but you guys need to bump up the HP on this boat. Mid 50's for a nearly 20 foot bass boat just doesn't cut it. Don't get me wrong, it is descent but its not good enough. Low to Mid 60's would be much better. Same goes for the 2080. Its underpowered with the 200hp motor. If Im not mistaking I think the AVX1980 is your guys most sold model. You could easily expand your market on these boats with bigger motors. Go the route of Express. Hell they have a 19ft 200 horse model and its shorter than the 1980. Come on Vexus, you are still a young company. Listen to your customer base. Just get on any forum in any thread about the 1980 or 2080 and you will find people talking about how underpowered they are.

Really great boats! Style, performance, etc. But ... The quality of the welds is terrible. This is unacceptable for a product of this level. As an example take a look at the quality of the ALBA boats or UMS boats. Feel the difference. I hope Vexus fixes this and improve the product.
