Welcome back to another Demo Garage Video from In Tune Marine. In this video we go in depth on the Vexus Boats VX 21 Fiberglass Bass Boat. We have this boat loaded to the gills with tackle, half tank of fuel, powered by the Mercury V8 250 ProXS with a Fury 23 Pitch 3 Blade Prop. People should know that Vexus VX 21 is actually 21’-11”. That longer than Ranger by 3”, and longer than Phoenix by 6”. It also has more fuel capacity than Phoenix by 7 gal, the live wells are bigger and better, and the beam is 2” wider. It’s a hell of a lot more boat and weight from fiberglass, water, and consumables. The way tournaments flight your launches anymore 4-5 mph doesn’t even matter anymore from that standpoint. Give me the more stable, more comfortable boat any day. I’ve never caught a fish doing 68. 😉

That boat is 21 ft 11 inches long and wider than most others. It's a heavy boat that rides good.

Okay I’ll say it: VX boats are a multi species hull with bass boat cap. The rest is just marketing. They basically have pedestal “air ride” seats in the cockpit. Put a full wind shield across it and it is a sweet walleye boat.

My VX21 is slow. Full tank of gas, 2 people, heavyish tournament load, lead acid batteries, full live wells.... I'm going 62-63. MAX.

But how does it handle in rough water? Can you keep the bow up in 2-3’ following seas?

Yes it's a fantastic rough water boat. However in mildly rough water - like after being passed by 50 boats after a blast off, it does struggle to get enough lift to ride "the mess". @@spintowinstradic6067

Why does the Vexus transom only have a 5yr warranty? Ranger, Triton, Xpress, Tracker...all have lifetime warranties.

Let me tell you guys something about speed. When you're in a 300-500 boat tournament, and you're the 100th boat, are your running 70+ miles per hour? NO. This vexus will run 68 in the roughest water because of the ride quality and stability. You will get to your spot just as fast, and your back will be in 1 piece!

Dang 68mph that boat should run 72 to 73 mph all day. I would be running some test on that merc to make sure it's putting out 100% of the power because there has been a lot of them only doing about 72% from the factory.

Yamaha does the same till you get about 80 hours on it then it lets loose. It’s weird but my zx200 ran 65 top end till I did my 100 service. Hits 69-71 loaded down... 200 hp

Haaaa....those boats are built by Forest's nephew & grandson & former Ranger seniors, blows Skeeter away !!! My buddy does all their commercials, I used to do the ranger commercials. These boats are hand built with every single detail gone over to the T. Vexus from what I understand means F U in some other language !!! That is/was meant for what they (new company) did to Ranger after purchasing them !!!

They hand molded these boats, took the master mold out on the water 3.,4, 5,6,8 times until they got it PERFECT in every sense, that whole family comes from a long line of fisher, boatman & that's who personally created these crafts.

Bought a brand new 2019 Z21 nitro with a 250 4 stroke merc. Not sure anyone would need anything more than that. A loaded bass boat brand new for $59k. This thing is 40k more and slower. Nor sure I get it. 🤷🏼‍♂️

when you buy nitro your not getting the quality and detail ... when i buy a bout i want it to be detailed out .. fiberglass boxes not some plastic insert box that you can take out. you buy vexus for several things ... 1 Ride. 2. detail. 3 .qality 4. knowing that the boat building process is looked at with a fine tooth comb .. not doing things cheap like bass pro does

Robustness is important, shock absorbed seats, center tank layout, heavy duty hull and transom, all for running through rough water comfortably and safely, nothing for top speed...

Love the boat... speed not good at all. You will be the slowest person on blast off.. my ranger at 21 foot and trust me its heavy I still pushing 73 to 74. With poles and 4 batteries

This boat is much deeper than a Ranger. Ranger is probably the worst out of all the high end bass boat mfgs in rough water. Once the trolling motor is down though, on non-rough days, Ranger is the most stable. Can't have both.
