VFC M249 (Gas) and G&P M249 (Electric) / Gas or electric gun, which one do you prefer? I like both.

I upgraded and customized the VFC M249 (Minimi), which was the world's first to use gas as a power source, and a G&P electric gun.
For the VFC M249, only the exterior was customized, including the installation of a G&P hand guard and the replacement of the plastic dummy cart with a metal one. Most of the VFC M249's housing is made of aluminum, but the parts that swing the dummy cart are made of iron, so I confirmed that there would be no damage even if a brass dummy cart was attached. The best hole to drill in the dummy cart is 4mm to 5mm in diameter. As a result of focusing on ease of installation, I finally adopted a diameter of 5mm.
Regarding the G&P M249, I have upgraded most of it, from various power parts to wiring and exterior parts. Among other things, I changed the exterior version to Mk3 type and made the feed cover latch myself from iron material. Also, with the original product, we have to remove the fixing screw to change the barrel, but I have changed it so that we can just use the release lever. The stock is a Mk48 type with small modifications and installed, and the outer barrel is slightly longer for aesthetics and balance. The firing mechanism is Tokyo Marui's high cycle specification, linking the bullet feeding timing and trigger, and modularizing the cable. I am also reviewing the layout of the ammo box and am considering a more efficient bullet tray. At the moment, I am making a prototype out of cardboard and testing it, and the final shape will be changed to acrylic board.

I prefer gas replicas, so far!! The only one electric replica I own, it was bought because at that time there was no gas version of it. And also because it is Japanese, made by Marushin, a brand never seen on this country. It still work well after 30 years or so. Well made things...

Great video! Given the VFC is very unrealistic e.g. 100 bbs magazine inserted on the top cover, magazine box for holding gas only,.....I stick with the Electronic AEG at this moment.

What do you do if your this kind of thinking "super soldier" GI after you've been clipped by a 1960 era sks at 300m? 13yrs as a 11BVT in too many 3rd world shit holes around the world proves that the guy clipping meat to eat everyday to feed his family sleeping on a 1/2 inch mat & covered up with just a sheet beats the "high speed" soldier with $3000 worth of gear in the wilds huh?
