library of congress then to borrow books to brought home, you must have LIBRARY CARD ... so numbers are really important and who invented all of them ... thanks

It is a nice video. But Dewey Decimal Classification is a million times better than Library of Congress Classification.

How is it better? They are merely different. Seems like Dewey Decimal has fewer topic areas defined, and thus is better for small collections (which is why you'll see it at elementary schools). The Library of Congress system has more topic areas defined, and thus is better for larger collections - which is why academic and research libraries use them.
