VFR750 | STRIP AND CLEAN

Part 1 well after purchasing a £350 High Miler, I began the job of stripping off some parts, cleaning and respraying the forks, callipers and hub before I tackle some mechanics.
Really enjoying this project and the VFR is surprisingly in good unmolested condition for 30 years and 96k miles.
Now remember I'm a novice at this and this is my first.. If I can do it, so can you.

had a vfr 750fl ( white ) back in 1992 from david petrie motorcycles ,absolutely loved it .still love another one to this day beside my fz1

That rear shock is STIFF!!! You got a couple of years on me I was 16 in 1990 but you don't look it, good on you! Bike restoration is off to a good start. I will be watching in anticipation of the end result!!

Just done a VF750 bought as a non runner,1983, ultra low mileage now runs sweet as. I fancy doing a VFR now, keeping the VF though. Going to watch your progress with interest. Thanks for uploading.

Change that Reg/Rec and put a MOSFET FH020AA on it. Wire it direct to the Stator and the battery with a 30 amp circuit breaker on the positive feed to the battery.

Got 3 vfrs best bike ever made look after it and it will do double that mileage my 88 one is like a new pin done 65 k runs sweet as a nut and the 94 one done 50k same again like a new pin 800 model is a 2015 model that in my mind is vfr model to date.

Still catching up. For the money you got a great project. Did I spy some No Nonsense galv spray in use? I've used it on a few parts of my VStrom where the original silver finish has gone, thanks to the original owner not washing the bike properly after winter rides. If I am mistaken... my apologies but it's still excellent stuff.
