just to inform here su is not "super user" it means "switch user" ,which means the other user account you want to switch to from current user, for ex su - rahul ,means switch to rahul user if you do not specify any user it takes root user by default like su OR su -

you forgot "apropos"! It's vital for finding the right command for a task. I also like "find", "cd" ;-), "pushd", "vim", "mkdir", "scp", "ssh", "fg"/"bg", "df", "du", "echo", "finger", "hostname", "ping" and "chmod"/"chown".

I installed linux yesterday thinking it was super easy, well it was until I had to install printer drivers. The instructions on the Printer website required many comands to be entered during the process where just clicking install package strangely seems to work but doesnt result in the printer working.... yes I tried the generic driver wizard thing, didnt work. Now what??

+Makala DuPont did you mount the drive for the printer? If you didnt create a drive foldrer in / and mount the drive after physically hooking the printer up, I doubt it will function properly cd / sudo mkdir /mnt cd /mnt sudo mount /dev/??? i believe or something close. If you have no clue what im talking about do a search for "eli the computer guy linux" click on the list of i think 9 or 11 videos and scroll down to the video that has mounting drives in the label. I would advise watching all the videos before it as well. they are very helpful for basic terminal use with just about any linux distro.

That's actually incorrect about su. I used to think su stood for superuser also, but it actually stands for substitute user or switch user, it's just by default if you don't give it any arguments it switches to root or superuser.

Something for and ,, where I extracted files from Adobe flash player to work it because I try to /usr/lib/ flash playerplagin but system tell I can't doing enything in this folder ,, so extract all FILES in storage :-( I try to doing root and again nothing ,, PLS doing one video with all this for guys to no learning much :-) Peaceful bro ✌
