Good video. Although the green screen video is much better than the blown out color, when it's in unreal on the material, she is basically glowing.

Nice video, thank you but as awesome as UE5 is, this should be an easy almost drag and drop feature. Seems way overly complicated and long process just to achieve this! (I am talking more about bringing in prekeyed GS footage, which has already been keyed it out in AE for eg) In Blender, import images as planes bring it in with one click and they also are affected by lights in the scene, which is awesome! Are the images once imported into UE, affected by in engine lights please? Doesn't look so judging by the video, if not then is there any way to do so?

Have you found a faster solution to this by chance? I'm working in pre-production on a project that's using tons of green screen and Unreal is appealing for how fast it is but I think I may need to stick with Blender because importing every single clip like this seems awful compared to just using "Images as Planes" haha

@@obscurity_films Yeah same! My holy trinity workflow is Blender, UE5 and AE. Some things are better, faster in Blender and others in UE5. I dont think it would be that hard to make a blueprint or plugin for UE5 which does the process automatically, but i am not clued up enough on my coding to make it lol

I was hoping that maybe you could export the entire scene from Blender to UE5 via USD, but don't think its possible yet. Hopefully soon in the near future.....

​@@ukmonk Dang! Yeah, I tried messing with Datasmith earlier. And it brings a plane in for the green screen footage, but the materials aren't set up to see it. I think I am going to continue diving into Unreal to potentially use for the project though, despite how annoying it is to import those clips haha. I'm making an elaborate cave and the performance and look of the Megascans assets, or just imported assets are just too good for me to pass up in Unreal haha.

@@obscurity_films Yeah the real-time factor in UE5 is awesome! I normally use alembic or USD to move over cloth/fluid/destruction sims from Blender to UE5 as i find doing these in Blender is faster for my workflow then render out in UE5.

ok on just testing this, prekeyed footage is affected by lights. so if you change the light to blue or green for eg, your footage will show up same color, so thats cool!

My colleague tried it for hours and said it doesn't work at all. Now I've tried it myself and found that it doesn't work at all. We have now solved this with Unity. There are no problems there. A pity. (UE4.27, UE5.1)

Can any one help me with this please? I've recorded an artist against a green screen for a music video, which I then keyed out in After Effects and imported into Unreal Engine. In Unreal Engine, I added a camera and sequence to incorporate motion into the scene. However, I find that my compositing skills in After Effects are better than if I tired to composite in unreal engine, and I'd like to export only the green screen footage with the camera movements nd the same fore the scene without the green screen for further compositing work in After Effects.
