There is a jump counter in death wish tho Using A to dive canceling (still can do it without A by double tapping the dive button), jumping at the water surface doesn't count as a jump. Still good job.

8:53 I think I know why this happens. Bow kid is intended to be player 2 thus why she if the co-op partner if you play normally. Because you're playing as Bow kid as player 1 however her umbrella appears as blue instead of the usual pink. This of course prevents player 2 from getting the umbrella unless player 1 dies if you play as Bow kid.
