Crazy idea for how to get the traditional festival moon. This most likely isn't gonna work but there's a warp glitch in one of the levels in dark side that warps you to the metro kingdom, which makes me wonder what will happen if you do this glitch while the festival is going on.

Probably wrap to the kingdom with the festival going on, not in the festival. But you never know until you try. You also need to keep in mind that that glitch needs to be done jumpless.

This idea is interesting, but to my knowledge, the festival is a glorified cutscene, meaning you can't leave the kingdom while it's going on. You would need to warp out of the festival, into the dark side and then warp back to metro. Even then, the festival will probably have been stopped because you left the area, meaning you would be warped to normal day metro. My reason for thinking the festival would be cancelled is because you can replay it, meaning it is some sort of "event", which would likely be reset upon entering or leaving the kingdom, just like killing enemies, getting coins from already collected moons, etc... It might not even take place in the real metro kingdom, for all I know. But who knows? Maybe something crazy can be done to get the festival moon.

If you start the festival and leave, the festival actually stops. So even if you do the wrong warp, it would still be normal metro.

I don't think this will work because in order for the festival to start you need to talk to an NPC and they will ask you if you are ready for the festival to start. If you say yes when the festival starts you will be teleported to outside the Odyssey. If you leave the kingdom during the festival I think the festival will stop until you activate it again. I have never gone to Metro Kingdom by the way so I'm not 100% sure about this.

This was tested, but what happens is it takes you straight to the Odyssey. If the exit point for an area is not present, (like how the exit to the subarea is not present during the festival) a failsafe is used which sends Mario to the Odyssey instead.

Wow, I’ve been here since hyrule myths, and I have watched nearly every vgmyths since with the no jump Mario odyssey videos being my favorite. I even went ahead and did the challenge myself my first try and got around 200 moons. When you showed the sand kingdom when talking about the something important enough to make a video about, I got so happy when I realized sand kingdom was actually possible. I’m going to head back to my save and try to get those 801 moons, but I’m not good at games so I’ll probably not be the first. It won’t keep me from trying though.
