Michael McCann is, and has always been, the man. The soundtrack to Sunshine was amazing too. And I'm not sure what put the idea in my head but I always thought Kidneythieves had something to do with this track? Maybe it was their collaboration on Invisible War that made me think that, and the fact that it does sound a lot like their type of thing... But really, thanks for this, it's on my favorite list for nights in with good drink in a dark room ;)

Interesting that you dislike the characters, it's usually the main source of praise given to the game. The narrative is the usual melodramatic sci-fi endeavour what made it involving for me was the interesting character drama and dynamics between characters. Though to appreciate fully it you have to play all 3 games on one save, a game save that carries through multiple games is not too common a thing any more.

awesome as usual. Is there going to be an album with all the tracts (like mass effect , deus ex, etc) in one?

@NeverSTFUproductions The one you're referring to (Afterlife top floor, right?) is actually from the good old Need For Speed 4: High Stakes. Fun fact. :) They reused it in Mass Effect, because EA owns it, and you know - the track is bloody gorgeous. Hive vs Afterlife. Tough choice. I think Hive wins, but maybe that's cause I've heard Afterlife so many darn times.

I don't care about the spelling, I was simply using it to highlight the sort of flawed logic which states subjective opinion as if it were objective fact. If you're going to go around telling everyone how it is, don't be surprised if people occasionally correct you.

I don't remember ever being able to holster a gun in ME2 - we're going back to ME1 there. The roll thing is personal opinion really - it's necessary if certain enemies get close to you. Either way, probably should stop talking about Mass Effect on a Deus Ex video lol. I'm just a little sad that we've only seen one piece of Deus Ex Human Revolution dlc so far, unless I've been living under a rock without knowing and missed something else.

I would have to agree with TayleRX222 (without the need for profanity) that the gameplay was better in Mass Effect 3 with the extra freedom of movement etc.... The environments that you visit aren't as enjoyable but then someone else may think different. In some areas the dialogue is possibly not as good, in other areas it's really strong - some of the character deaths are very well written and very sad.

Then you'd be saying for example that Bioshock beats Deus Ex because it's related to System Shock, that came before Deus Ex - it doesn't work like that. Best to judge each game on its merits. Mass Effect wouldn't need Deus Ex to exist and they are pretty different, even in their basic playstyle, FPS to TPS. I'm not saying people should put down Doom though, that's just stupid.

To bad the subjective opinion happens to be an objective fact as the deus ex franchise has seniority over the mass effect series, seeing as how the OP is making a comment like that, it's almost like asking what came first the chicken or the egg, mass effect being the being that egg, deus ex being that chicken, so the obvious answer would be deus ex, the chicken.

Rubbish, both games are great and on an even level. They're very different in their atmosphere and play style so you can't really compare them anyway. Purely in terms of the clubs that are depicted, I prefer Omega (and Purgatory...) as it is more outlandish and obviously a little more futuristic. The Hive beats Chora's Den and Flux from the first games however.

Honestly, I was just puzzled why they would take something that was so great like ME2 and change many of the things that worked anyway and were great. Why couldn't I holster the weapon anymore? that was annoying. Why did his character animation not look as smooth anymore? Why did they have such a pathetic confusing Deus Machina ending to such an epic game?(I have yet to play the updated ending) . I can't but think that the multi-player was the reason for the failures of the single player.
@EVEsystems12 жыл бұрын
ME 1 and 2 were awesome but ME 3 was garbage. That said. Deus ex > Mass Effect
@BooDamnHoo12 жыл бұрын
No, ME3 pretty much sucked. Sucked enough to kill the entire franchise and eliminate any replayability...and no, "replaying" multiplayer crap is NOT replayability. Bioware is done.
@TheLoafyOne12 жыл бұрын
I'm just going to go with my chicken and the egg theory, seeings as how deus ex came first before mass effect, it makes it more superior because it revolutionized games. If it were not to exist mass effect wouldn't exist. It's almost as bad as modern warfare 3 people that trash on the original doom, not realizing that if it never existed their precious pile of crap would have never existed.

Well we will have to disagree. I think part of what ruined ME3 was the additions of the mutliplayer. The single player engine they used was showing to much MP adaptation and I couldn't care less for MP. For example, why can I no longer holster my gun? Why is his movement so jerky and not smooth anymore? Why is there a lame Gears of War roll added in? These things suck, they were unnecessary.
