I know where Nib got the 60.5% growth rate for PlayStation from. He converted the revenues, which is in Yen, to U.S. dollars with real conversion rates, or the rate it is today, instead of nominal conversion rates, which was the rate back then it was reported. Based on the real rates, Nib says Sony made $18 billion from PS on 2021. But news articles say back then it made $25 billion from PS in 2021. Fast forward to 2024, it made $29.5 billion. What's the growth rate for that? Basically, in line with the inflation of the U.S. dollar.

@@XlPackratlX Excellent spot, when dealing with historic amounts and translating it's very easy to get the wrong amount because you are using the wrong date when converting. I raised this when my wife said I owed her some money from 15 years ago, but she didn't accept my answer.

One can also observe that the output on games from Xbox has considerably increased with the acquisition of the different studios. In a timeline from 2020 to now, the number of Xbox games each year: 2020: 3 2021: 6 2022: 5 2023: 11 2024: 12 (includes DLCs for Starfield, WoW and Diablo 4) In 2025 there are 4 confirmed games from the Xbox Game Studios (Avowed, Fable, South of Midnight and The Outer Worlds 2).
