It's not by a band, but it and the rest of the tracks are arranged by Ryuichi Katsumata (also the keyboardist for all of them) and the guitarist for this track is Nozomi Furukawa, who is commonly seen in soundtracks for Detective Conan and DBZ video game music composed by Kenji Yamamoto.

THIS is the version that comes to mind whenever I think about this song. There's been many remixes. Many covers. But THIS version is hands down the ultimate, quintessential masterpiece!

Remember my friend and I finally getting this at our library after ordering it in from another. We were seasoned F Zero racers, and aspiring guitar shredders. This Guitar arrangement version of the soundtrack is blistering.
