I don't think we realized that T.i was building bonds with Messiah ,Domani and deyjah right before our eyes. He was in prison a few times and then always on the road during the height of his career. They live with their moms primarily. Then on top of building a bond with your father it's televised. I also think that something happened while he was away and that's why he so over protective of her but from him knowing she has been hurt then still broadcasting her business he broke the trust they built.
