These old JVC's are very fascinating, interesting and always an "adventure" to service! 😊

Maybe You can help me. I have an English version at home and would like to use it however I have problems with having signal on my tv. I connected with scart cable to my tv but dont know how should I setup my TV. In instruction there is something about Channel 36 but dont know what it means. My father didnt use it for 30 years so doesnt remember how it was setup earlier. I want to copy family VHS recordings to digital form in memory of my mum who passed 3 weeks ago. I will do it with special adapter but before buying it I want to check if the recorder still works.

If the VCR is connected to the TV with the Scart cable, the TV should actually switch directly to the "video channel" (AV/EXT) when playing a video! The "Channel 36" only concerns the connection of the VCR to the RF output via the round 75 ohm cable to the tuner input of the TV. Maybe the VCR has a TV/VCR-button, try to push it, when TV and VCR is running (in playback mode).

@@vvm2004 thank You. On free time I Will check it. Is your scart cable simple witout any signs scart on or out? Besides a version witout any signs I have also one where there is scart in / other side scart out and on the middle scart in ouy. Wonder which cable was provided with the VCR

@@thomasbednarowski1651 Scart cables are available in different versions. The most common is actually the one where Scart is "connected" to Scart and that is the easiest connection option. If there is an "IN / OUT" label on a scart cable, the "IN" connection should be connected to the TV and "OUT" to the VCR.
