Dear Sir, I can agree with you on all your points because I have no idea about the backdoor politics. However opening a quality golf course near an international airport like Kochi is not a bad economic proposal. First of all I would like to bring to your knowledge that this is not intended for the local people out there. When Kerala was booming as an international tourist destination as per National Geographic, many tourists would like to use the facility during their transit. Please understand that golf is very popular even among common people abroad. unlike in Aluva. You can search the net for more information on this. A value added service like an attached golf course is a definite bait for possible revenue generation and international appeal. Note that this is my personal opinion. Regards.

Dear Advocate I disagree with you in this regards. I am an Ex- NRI and enjoyed a lot using this airport. Other airports were constructed by spending huge money. But the facilities at CIAL were very simple in the beginning. So they developed an airport with minimal facilities. Once it became profitable, they constructed the second face. That was a very practical approach. Area allocated for Solar park and Golf course are reserved for future. Just visit Dubai and you will realize the potential of transit inside an airport. There is a underground train inside the airport for connecting block A,B and C. We should visualize those kind of developments in our land. Both Karunakaran and V. J Kurian are true visionaries. They have constructed the airport and make it profitable. It is not that easy in a state like Kerala, that too in a public platform. Even the communist govt realized the value of it and copied the same at Kannur and fighting with central government for getting the full control of TVM airport. More than that, it gave a great boost to the tourism industry located in Munnar and Alapuzha. Please think globally and act locally. This is a mandatory facility. Because of this we are able to reach back to our family quickly, especially during emergencies. So please do not make such unnecessary comments. This airport have to develop a lot to cater the future requirements. People envisage about Cochin as a future Bangalore. At that time, the value of this effort will be huge. Also, I do not know much about the CIAL Academy.

In entire kerala one cannot find 10 golfers but that doesn't mean we don't need a golf course for the reason that generally golf courses are not meant for local people instead for those who travel extensively and stay in various airport hotels etc will make use of all these facilities like golf course,race course etc. Further would like to say that if there any corruption taken place in connection with golf course there is no issue in exposing it but golf course is not an extravaganza instead an added attraction to CIAL

There might be some defects / ill effects in the management style of V J Kurien. It is so in the case of any world renowned Managers. Be it Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Elan Musk...
