Dr. Felipe de Leon. Jr., PhD: has always taught in universities, has been Chief of a government Commission in Culture for several years, a believer in on-going education. .. a reknowned lecturer, an expert about our in-depth culture. He comes also from a musical family ... his father wrote the lyrics of a National Anthem of our country. He's one of my best-liked professor in the ACA Doctoral Program in the Asian Institute. I am grateful, so much enriched by my years of academics in A.S.I ! " I am so proud of you, Sir!" God bless you always !!!

I have always been proud to be a Filipino but after seeing and learning all these from Sir Felipe De Leon Jr. my appreciation towards our race and culture has become more sincere and significant. Thank you for reacting to this one. But keep in mind that every country has its ups and downs and the Philippines, being a third-world country, probably has more downs than ups but we take pride in our culture more than other things. We don't have much but we are the happiest when our family is together. Yes, we are proud of our achievements but we are most proud when our parents in their old age are living with us and having their best life. We are a nation that is compassionate, willing to take in refugees while facing an international conflict ourselves but we are the bravest when threatened and oppressed. When you finally get to visit the Philippines, make sure to bring with you patience and an open mind.

As a Filipino, our language is really beautiful in many ways, easy to learn and understand, can be mixed nicely in English, can be funny to play at or sing it like rapping.

And that my friend was the reason why Filipinos were so great in singing because the ancestors travel all the time crossing waters to reach the other islands and singing was part of their past times and in the calmness of the Sea the tone and voice was honed by singing for hours until they reach their destination with that was their smile and happiness for their safe journeys. Also, Smile matters the most between neighbours I noticed, because from where I grew up, My neighbours dialect is 50 percent different from ours the only part that divides us is the fence and every day when are crossing path we greet each other with a good Smile and a Nod, no words just a Nod and a Smile.

I will say growing up in the 90s in Canada, something made Filipinos not proud of themselves. Something was making them think badly of themselves, as if they were ashamed of their culture. I remember in highschool the Filinos would always say "i'm half spanish, half chinese, half hawaiian".... but im sitting there thinking WTF you talking about i know you! you're Full filipino. But something was ingrained in ourselves to look down on us. Hell, we grew up making fun of our accents, imitating our parents accents etc and it was almost the norm. A lot of us didn't even learn the language cause our parents didn't bother teaching it to us so we would speak back in English after being spoken to in Ilocano/Tagalog. People made fun of FOBs cause of our accent too. Also i guess the people that weren't proud were also affected by the infighting happening in the philippines, or what was happening with the people power and marcos etc so when they left none of our parents wanted to remember that and just push it back to forget. However, something has changed a lot during the 20 years observing it all. It's like it did a 180. Perhaps it was all because of of people like Pacquaio, Efren Reyes, Filipino Martial arts, basketball, and many Filipino mainstream things. We finally had someone to look up to, finally was able to hear some music coming out of there when we download from napster or limewire etc. Listening to things that are different. And Internet was evolving too. We were getting closer to the other part of the world which was pretty hard to communicate with our landlines back then. Now we had chat, MSN messenger, ICQ, a bunch of social media things like MySpace, Friendster, etc etc. We started seeing the Filipinos in a different light. AT first, because it was very new it was cringy, listening to Andrew E rap i was like hmmmm it's was cringy cuase he was a comedian and he made it like that. But you start hearing more and more and it just started getting better, their flows, their rhythm and etc, sounding like Bone Thugs was crazy to me. Then Wish Bus happened, exposing more people to the musicality of things. As if it was a big bubble or Dam that was waiting to burst Filipino everything. When covid happened, i opened my eyes realizing that there was a whole world out there with Singing and Artists that are just as good as the people here. I finally started learning about the artists my parents enjoyed, started appreciating everything. And now there's so much Filipino representation it's crazy. Filipinos are proud of their culture, they realize the concepts of crab mentality. Being in my 40s now, i realized that Family is everything. In my 20s, it was all me me me, i wanted to leave my parents place when i was in my teens. But after learning about who i am and the culture, i can't believe that was the way i was thinking, too westernized. Now my priorioties are my parents wellbeing. This is also probalbyu influence by hearing artists singing songs about our parents! SB19's Mapa! Watching this documentary from the professor gave me goosebumps as it explains why my parents were doing things that they do.... or i knew why at the surface level, but not the deeper meanings and concepts of the filipino mind and soul.

In Gods eye we are all one no Division, only the dark one divide us thats why they created the religion. If all the people in this world help its other no one is poor. We are here in this world to bring heaven on earth , its coming five years from now you will see because the year of Aquarius is coming the humanitarian signs of humanity. Starseeds, star people are coming to bring healing machine and good food not poison no t process food that cause cancer we will have a replicator, you can have what you want free . sad to say these younger Filipino generations adapt western mentality, our nation is slowly corrupted, not knowing our roots and culture as we older people in the country has been immerse into our roots and culture. the degration slowly creeps in our beloved nation, as younger people are more into materialistic, no ambition, disoriented and not hardworking and doing easy money by offeing theirselves in a indecent activities. the moral deterioration is rampant as plague.

I disagree when he mentioned the origin of Filipino is from Taiwan. History is like tsismis (gossip). If you know your bible, you will understand the origin of its countries. My researched lead me to this. Shem is the direct descendants of the Filipino people. In Genesis: Shem begat Arphaxad; Arphaxad begat Selah; Selah begat Eber. Eber is the father of the Hebrew people. Eber has two sons Joktan and Peleg. After the tower of babel, Joktan (short brown people) and his sons, including Sheba, Tarshish, Havilah, migrated to the Southeast. Peleg migrated to the middle east. lineage of Jacob., Japhet descendants are European, US, and Japan (light skin people). Jacob has twelve sons including Joseph. Joseph has two sons, Ephraim migrated to Ethiopia, Africa and Manasseh part Egyptian/Hebrew went to the east. Philippines is a multi-cultural nation, and the DNA in the Mindanao area has middle eastern result. Hebrew names like Mayon Volcano, Taal Volcano, balut, Hibok-Hibok, Mt. Apo, Mt Pulag (name after Joktan brother Peleg are all in the Philippines. The archipelago (Philippines) is part of Shem’s territory. In Genesis, the family of Joktan (brown and short people) went to the East; before the Africans/Austronesians came: Shem inherited the middle east and Asia excluding Indonesia, Australia (Indigenous people) who are part of Ham. Japheth descendants invaded the Philippines, started with European (Spain), American, and Japan.
