Via Ferrata Sasse, Lake Idro, Italy

Via Ferrata Sasse is located on lake Idro, Italy.
We did this route in May 2024. We started this ferrata close to Baitoni town, from the road that leads to Castello San Giovanni. But it is possible to do it also in the opposite direction, starting from Vesta. The path is above the surface of the water. The technical difficulty level is easy. However, there are several vertical sections that require some climbing effort. The via ferrata length is ~3 km, and the total one-way including the access is ~4.5 km; after this you can turn back and return by the beautiful "Sentiero Contrabbandieri" path. So, the round-trip distance is ~9 km. This is an absolutely unique experience… so close to the lake!
This ferrata is easy but very beautiful, - highly recommended also for beginners and for families with children !
