Tks for the reply. I thought this video was out of wack for train times. #2 is out of Vantown at 15:00 hrs and RMR at approx 08:00 hrs. At first I thought you caught them on different days then realized the sun angles were the same. A really great catch.

Yeah it was very rare to see this occurrence, I added the scanner radio chatter as yellow text in this video just to show proof they were both following each other on block. Thanks for watching John!

Good shot of the Canadian emerging from the tunnel. The Rocky Mountaineer was also a nice one. I wish I could ride on both someday. The open deck on the RM would be fun. I could have a cigarette while standing out there. I haven't rode the Canadian since 1994.

VIA Rail is an evening train here and they were 15 hours delayed because of westbound re-routes on the eastbound CP line, so the VIA departed around the same time as the Rocky Mountaineer normally does, it was a lucky catch to see both on block! Thanks for watching.
