Our mother cries in pain and yet we ignore her, her wails only heard through the tears that fall. Is she proud or disheartened by our success? As man progresses he must question this, to turn back or continue twisting the knife in her back. She bleeds, she bleeds, we drink and drink and can never be quenched. May our father give us refuge in the next life as we have destroyed ours here.

Its September 2023, and a cyclone just hit where I live. Fortunately, nothing happened to me and my city, but close to mine, an entire town was completely destroyed. Dozens lost their lives, and thousands their houses. While that, our drunkard president was in India. It made me remember this song. Really makes you think about climate and everything.
