Maybe because of it being such a low booming sound, coming out of nowhere, with a deep voice that resembles Optimus Prime in a way, ending on an 80s-sounding synth that fades away to silence as the logo that’s been staring at us the whole time fades away as well. Plus the shows/channels that tend to have this play at the end happen late at night, so it tends to be quiet before and after this runs. Also maybe the logo looks angry for some reason. It’s staring at us and an almost-angry voice announces the name like it’s asserting dominance. Yes, I’m probably overthinking this, but one of the “Paramount home video” intros scared me as a kid and still feels eerie to this day, so I get how you feel.

Nickelodeon's two-year contract with 20th Century Fox to make feature films would never happen in 1993 10. Viacom would never purchase Paramount Communications in 1994 11.
