I saw this performance and it was insane. Pickathon has several stages throughout the venue, and the VB's set was at the end of the night on Saturday - the last show in the Galaxy Barn (which is one of the smallest stages) for the night. This stage was PACKED, but in general most of the people at the festival were wound down and going to bed at this time, so this crowd was the die-hards and younger people staying up late looking to party and blow it out. And wow, did the Viagra Boys deliver! I knew nothing about them and was just stunned by how great their performance was. People were gettin' crazy and the singer was too. I'm super stoked this recording is here so I can re-live this performance. VB's have a new single out (May 2022) and I think an album coming out soon, and they're touring Europe. Hopefully they'll come back to the States soon also.

I don't know what it is about Sweden that they just crank out so much amazing and creative music, but I sure hope it doesn't stop. Their bands are honestly far more interesting than almost anything America or the UK has turned loose since the early 00's, at least.

the first time i heard "sports" it was in the background and i didn't pay attention until the end where dudes screaming "sports!" without the context of the earlier verses i thought he was saying "farts." i thought the singer was talking about how much he hates farts. my brother hates farts. my brother sucks. we haven't talked in a while. not since he refused to help me get my shit out of the oncoming fire in lake tahoe and i let him know how i FELT ABOUT THAT. i was listening to "farts" about 9 months later and it happened to be a couple days after my brothers birthday. i was drunk and against better judgment decided to give him a present after all. i sent him a link to the song and figured he'd appreciate the gesture as i was letting him know i was willing to put the past behind us (even though my prick brother most likely wasn't ready - I had let him know how i FELT with some pretty strong language), and the fact that someone else is as uptight as him about people's farts was supposed to help him feel less lame about being such an uptight douche.....result? was my gesture appreciated? did he get it? no. of course not. the song isn't about farts. duh. who sucks? me. fuckit. whatever. fucking sports

I’ve seen this band twice 2016 in Galmastan, Sweden and 2018 Detroit, Michigan!! They let me photograph them perform live and they are pure energy and entertainment as real as they get.. they were both hopped on some beer and some serious e... they played for 2 hours straight and each song they Jammed extra several minutes that took the crowd by storm... the American audience wasn’t prepared for them! I was supposed to see them this year in April for a private show for their new release of album in Gotenburg, Sweden but, CCP sent their virus around the world!! I’m pissed!! Can’t wait for this to be over with so I can see them again!! Pure retro sound and refreshing!!
