Abba were amazingly good, different genres, of course. It is not easy to create a whole music piece in 3 minutes. Try listening to "Eagle" for a good example of their ability. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mnWsaKtno9yHi9k

I’ve seen Renaissance 4 times; my fifth will be at the Landsdowne Theater this October. I saw them 2 sold out nights at the Keswick in 2015 with the orchestra; I can’t believe that this upcoming show could ever top that performance, but of course it’s the farewell tour. Not going to miss it. I’ve met Annie 3 times; once at a Renaissance show and twice at here solo shows that she does in Upper Black Eddie, Pa. She lives 15 minutes from my house here in Bucks County Pa. I always feel comfortable knowing she’s close by; she’s the real deal for sure.

Simply exquisite - everything about this band - from the lyrics, composition, orchestration, performance and, of course, the stellar singing of Bolton-born Annie Haslam, One of the greatest - and most underrated groups - ever. Testament of their genius is that, despite the sad passing away of several band members, Annie remains the sole flag-bearer with this group which is still performing and touring in 2022 - some 50 years (circa) since its inception.

At a fan signing event after a performance in Seoul, South Korea on October 8, 2010, what comes to mind is what appears to be a female classical music singer giving Annie a bouquet of flowers while getting her autograph. Even now, I can still see Annie being filled with joy even though she didn't know what to do. Betty Thatcher, Jane Relf, and Annie Haslam are known to be the same age, born in 1947. Although Betty has passed away, I hope Jane and Annie live a long, healthy life.
