This is the prefect mix of everything I like in black metal, the chill chordy sections, blast beats with tremolo picked guitars. I really like the lower production quality because it makes it more atmospheric, you can go to bad on the production though. Also if you couldn't tell I'm a sucker for longer songs.

I totally get what you were saying about the production quality in black metal, some bands sound like nails on a chalkboard to me. Vials of Wrath is more easy listening, but I thing thats because of the instrumental/atmospheric elements. Ditto on the artwork as well, I think Seeking Refuge is my favorite.
