Right? As I watched her demo...it did kind of bother me that she didn't actually use it! LOL! She talked about what you would do. I think it's easy enough, not sure why they didn't actually run a die through. I'm actually surprised I didn't pick it up long ago! LOL!!

I bought the AG mini when it first launched and it works so well!! I love it!! It is great for quick easy projects and the plates last forever!! I have had mine for years now and I still haven’t replaced the plates.

I bought the mini Anna Griffin die cutting machine when it first came out. It came with base, cutting, and embossing plates and they were long. It didn’t have the rubber mat nor the cut/emboss plate. I like it and use it part of the time, part of the time I use my two sizes of DP when I’m cutting small things. The plates have not warped yet. They have some cut marks in them but nothing that affects them.

I have the exact same machine, but its called the Spellbinders Sapphire and it's blue and white (of course). Bought it from the UK shopping channel Create & Craft several years ago. The only mat I dud not get is the magnetic. Came with a really cute set of dies too! Just in case anyone has that in their stash and forgot about it.

MY Hsn order got here quickly. The Anna Griffin mini die cut machine is adorable. I love my Marquise so I do not need it. But I do love the looks of it. LOL. I am eagerly looking forward to learning about the DP items coming out. I love all your videos, you can review anything you want and I will watch! Ha, I was saying, “move the die over a little” and then you did.

This AG mini is great and portable. I hope AG can make a MIDI! The embossing is perfect. I may get the Empress in the future. I heard DP has created new amazing stuff. I look forward to your review! TY.

I have the original Spellbinders sapphire machine also. The Anna griffin version was machine was also made by Spellbinders. Also have the larger machine with this same type of plate system. Forget what it is called now. They have been discontinued. They cut great and the plates last forever. Maybe why they were discontinued. People did not have to be buying extra plates continuously. So they making less money. Tonic orange machine is what they are based on. I think the cut and emboss plate along with the magnetic plate lets you do the cutting and embossing all in one step. It seems I remember Anna saying something about this when she first demoed this. Saves trying to keep the cut out in the die when trying to emboss. I have the same disease also. Have just about all the machines and the little mini versions are so cute.

I got those stamps and dies when they first came out and I use them a lot. I also got the AG Mini when it first came out, the front door snapped off so I need to be careful when I use it. So I don’t use it anymore, I probably should toss it out and that way I would have more room in my AG tote. Thanks for sharing! 😍

Thanks for the review..I’ve been eyeballing this little one for awhile but couldn’t see myself buying another die cutting machine. I only use a couple of the ones I already have as it is now. However...🙄 🤔 I can see getting this and letting my daughter help me die cut especially since she’s always volunteering me for crafting class projects lol. I wouldn’t mind her touching this.

You can use any thin metal dies that fit the size of the plates.

I don’t know what it is about those little die cutting machines but I just love them. I recently purchased a Tim holtz side kick. I didn’t need it but I had to have it. I didn’t see this one darn it! It is so cute. I must say though I have used that little side kick a lot though I was surprised at how much it will cut.

Glad to see you trying the AG mini. I often wondered why you didn't use it...just assumed that you had it in your stash! For some reason I never ordered one, maybe because I was still using the Cuttlebug when she came out with this and didn't think I needed it. I did buy the Empress which I love and I bought the Empress mini, which I did NOT need, but you know how that is! LOL!!

Once I realized they were going to stop making it I bought extra plates on the Cricut site including the 12 inch long ones. Plus, I have those hard plastic embossing folders that AG came out with and I don't think they will go through the Empress, so I figured I needed the "back-up" Cuttlebug, so I bought a new one for $35 on eBay last year. Like shoes and paper pads, you can never have too many die cutting machines! LOL!

Such a cute little machine but I wanted to get away from all the different plates that the big cutting machine use. And I really like the fact that the Marquise only requires one folder and I can hold my die in place. I don't mind the folders warping because they aren't expensive to replace. I think they should bring back the Cuttlebug since they are going to the small die cutting machines now. LOL! I gave my sister my Cuttlebug for her grandkids but now I sort of want it back as they don't really use it! LOL!!

I believe that the Anna Griffin Mini Die Cutting Machine is the same machine as the Spellbinders Sapphire Machine that sold on CreateAndCraftTV or at Joann’s Fabrics. It was exclusive to those two venues. Google “Spellbinders Sapphire Machine” for a picture of that machine. At least they look the same. I have had the Sapphire for many years now and it works very well. Spellbinders then came out with two other machines during that time, the Prizm and the Sapphire Plus. The Prizm had some issues and the Sapphire Plus was a large machine that could handle large dies. The Spellbinders Sapphire came out before the Spellbinders Prizm machine. The Prizm caused problems for crafters due to the plastic gears inside. I have not had that problem with the Sapphire Machine. I really like it. As you suggested, they no longer make the plates for the Sapphire Machine. However, a company out of the UK made 3rd party cutting plates that fit fine and I found them on ebay. Now, I have been able to purchase some of the regular and large plates for Anna Griffin’s machine on HSN that work on my Spellbinders Sapphire. So I was excited about that. Thank you for your review. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed in this machine although some mini manual machines might be cheaper at this time.

Yes, because it's a plate system it can do what other regular machines would do...where folder systems are somewhat limited.

awe, she's so cute. I am seriously thinking of replacing my Sizzix sidekick for this little baby machine. :) I ordered the Easter Tonic kit and it showed that it had been delivered today. No real tracking details which I thought was strange. Turns out that Tonic is less than an hour from my house! Wonder if they have a factory store!? ROAD TRIP!

I have had that Mini for several years. It’s a mini-Cuttlebug! I didn’t have all those plates, just the three that match, two short one and one longer. As a matter of fact, this was my first die -cutting machine! Then the Cuttlebug, and then a couple of years later, I bit the bullet and bought a Gemini GO. I worked as a petsitter and did layovers; sometimes up to a month at someone else’s home. The GO was perfect. And you know the rest of the story, next was the Gemini Jr. now I ALSO have and use Anna’s mini Empress. And Diamond Press has two, I use the Marquise more than any of the others. It’s been fun but COVid made me close my business in March. I am 70, so I call it “retired” for the second time. Now I live in Senior apartments, alone. So when my roommate moved, I turned what was the Living Room into my craft room. Now most days I am in there making something. Crafting has been such a joy. At night I watch KZbin videos and your vids are among my favorites. I enjoy your reviews and tutorials so much. And I guess all this was to say THANK YOU!

I bought the little one last year on sale. It only came with 3 plates. Should of returned it but didnt. I have the treasury of stamps & dies is the main reason I bought this little one. As much as I love ANNA'S products I think her stamps are lousy quality.

You know, that has always surprised me...she sticks with acrylic and they have never stamped well for me, either. For at least 15 years I've been getting her stamps and they have always been that acrylic. Maybe one day she'll go to strictly photopolymer.
