Vibe Shearwater 125 Review

This is my full review of the Vibe Shearwater 125.

Appreciate the candid option on this boat. Looking at the haul design I suspect the bow shape is contributing to the turning limitations. There is a lateral pressure conflict between the front of the boat and drive system that the rudder is trying to overcome. Larger blade should help. Your outback is pivoting more around the drive system.

She's beautiful! Love the red but also love the blue. So many options to add. I have my Bixby, but I fish fish large lakes and resevoirs. At 5ft 7 151 lbs, she cuts through my fishisheries, like butter. I can walk bow to stern. This is my 1st kayak and I don't plan on upgrading. No need too. I think it'll beat the outback. That hull is really made to cut through water. Be safe my friend. 🙏 🎣

I look forward to the SW vs OB. I own both. I matched the size if my OB rudder and added it the SW, it turns much better now.

a good idea for the issue with the tracks is to get one of those extending rods and just lay it back all the way flat. Then you could have your rods practically in your lap if you really wanted lol

The drive pod will get looser and looser as you pedal this kayak!The 3 plastic latches that hold the pod in place as you shown are junk!!Need new design or make them out of aluminum like you said or make some kind of gasket so the pods fit tight!All 3 pods that are available including the standard pod will move side to side ,forward and backwards and up and down while latched.Pods are manufactured too small for the opening and puts too much strain on those 3 plastic latches..will not buy until issue is corrected.Please fix this issue vibe.

It's does well in chop, I fished 15 mph wind gusting to 18 in the Straights of Juan de Washington for halibut....

When you do your rudder idea, post it up. I was thinking the same thing, seeing if a bigger rudder will turn the kayak tighter.

It doesnt have reverse. you have to flip the drive around. i just got mine. its a solid boat! i love it!
