High yields New Black gram Variety VBN - 8
National Pulses Research Center, Vamban, Tamilnadu has released this VBN - 8 Black gram Variety in the year 2016. The high yielding black gram variety VBN 8 is a cross derivative of VBN 3 x VBG 04-008. Average yield of VBN 8 is 900 kg/ha which is 11.9 and 13.5 percent increased yield over the check varieties VBN 6 (804 kg/ha) and CO 6 (793) respectively. It matures in 65 - 70 days but in the rainy season, crop duration exceeded 75 - 80 days.
Vamban - 8 Black gram Variety is completely resistant to MYMV and leaf crinkle disease. Determinate plant type, non-shattering, synchronized maturity, Determinate plant type, non-shattering, synchronized maturity. Suitable for growing in all seasons. Contain protein 21.9% and Arabinose 7.5%. Central release for Summer irrigated season (Orissa, Andra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu)

జాతీయ అపరాల పరిశోధనా కేంద్రం, వంబన్, తమిళనాడు వారు 2016 లో విడుదల చేసిన వి.బి.ఎన్ - 8 మినుము రకం రైతుల క్షేత్రాల్లో సత్ఫలితాలు అందిస్తోంది. పల్లాకు వైరస్ ను పూర్తిగా తట్టుకునే ఈ రకం, ఎకరాకు 8 నుండి 12 క్వింటాళ్ల దిగుబడిని అందిస్తూ రైతుల ఆశల్ని పండిస్తోంది. గింజ సాదారకాన్ని పోలినప్పటికీ పి.యు - 31 మినుము రకంతో పోలిస్తే గింజ గుండ్రంగా వుండి లావుగా వుంటుంది. అధిక కొమ్మలు రావటం, గుత్తులు గుత్తులుగా కాయలు కాయటం, ఒక్కో కాయలో గింజల సంఖ్య 6 - 8 వుండటం దీని ప్రత్యేకత. ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లో ఆలస్యంగా సాగులోకి వచ్చిన ఈ నూతన రకాన్ని కృష్ణా జిల్లా ఘంటసాలపాలెం గ్రామ రైతు మూల్పూరి వెంకయ్య 2019లో మొదటిసారిగా ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా సాగు చేపట్టారు. మంచి ఫలితాలు రావటంతో ఈ ఏడాది ఈ నూతన రకం సాగు విస్తరించింది. కృష్ణా జిల్లా, బాపులపాడు మండలంలోని మెట్ట భూముల్లో అధిక వర్షాలను సైతం తట్టుకుని మంచి ఫలితాలు అందించింది. ఎకరానికి 10 క్వింటాళ్లకు పైగా దిగుబడి సాధించగలమని రైతులు ఆశాభావం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు. వివరాలు ఈ స్టోరీలో తెలుసుకుందాం.
